Nick's P.O.V:
~Flash Back~
"What about Rose? Nothing from her?" I ask as I place my glass of lemonade down ontop of the counter. Tessa keeps her back pressed against the tiled wall and her gaze fixed on my wife as we wait for her to speak.
"Why would you think I still have contact with Rose?" Olivia asks.
"She's your cousin, Olivia." Tessa shrugs.
"No phone call? Text? Letter?" I talk over Tessa quickly.
"I told you. Nothing!" Olivia huffs. "You made the message pretty clear to her about not coming near us after you stabbed her, Nicklaus." She adds. Tessa's eyes shift to me before she looks back at Olivia. "Why are we talking about the contract and my cousin a year after it's ended?" She asks. I glance at Tessa and notice her watch me for a while before she looks away.
"I have to check on River and Noah." Tessa mumbles.
"Leroy has threatened-" I start and get cut off.
"Nick!" Tessa says quickly as she stops and turns around to face me.
"To take the twins away." I say, making Tessa sigh as she shakes her head.
"They want to take...River and Noah away?" Olivia asks slowly.
"No. Ryder and Iris." I state. "Well, mostly Iris." I sigh. They want to take Iris away because she was part of the contract which has now ended.
"And why would they do that?" Olivia asks, making Tessa scoff. Olivia quickly looks at Tessa before she folds her arms across her chest. "Tessa doesn't trust me." Olivia says.
"Did I make it that obvious?" Tessa tilts her head to the right slightly.
"Tess." I sigh.
"What the hell is your problem?" Olivia asks.
"You, Olivia. You!" Tessa throws her hands up in the air. "Why are you still here? Are you reporting back everything that's happening?" Tessa asks.
"Shut the fuck up, Tessa." I snap.
"Why am I still here?" Olivia repeats. "I'm here for my husband. I'm here because my husband is so stupid and yet so kind and loving to stay here and look after you and your kids when he could be with me for at least 10 minutes in a day but no . He's here to protect you and to take care of you. He's scared to sleep at night because he thinks that one of those assholes will come to attack you or the kids. When everyone left you, he stayed. I mean, your brothers haven't seen you in months, neither have any of your other family and friends. The only person that's here for you Tessa Black is my husband! Fuck me, Tessa but he spends more time with you than he does with me...His fucking wife! Be grateful for once in your life for me and Nick and stop attacking the two of us every other second you crazy bipolar bitch!" She yells, making us both quiet.
Olivia and Tessa stare at eachother before Olivia closes her eyes and drops her head when she realises what she just said. I watch Tessa nod slowly before she shakes her head and grabs the baby monitor from the counter.
"Tessa." Olivia calls her as I stay quiet.
"You want to get anything else off your chest, Olivia?" Tessa stops in her tracks and turns to look back at Olivia.
"I'm sorry I shouldn't hav-" Olivia starts.
"I have to check on the twins." Tessa mumbles.
