Part 6(A)

"You don't mind Aman working for me, do you?" he knew the old man wouldn't be able to deal with two shocking news a single day but when there is revenge there is no place for sympathy.

He swayed a little, this has to be some dream, everything is against them, Aman was also into this man's clutches? Why did he never spoke on it till date to him, because he knew they wouldn't approve of it as much as loyal he is to the Jha's family he doesn't want any of his family members to get involved with them on a larger front.

"How?"

"Just like Arnav got a job here."

HP looked up to hear Shyam, so Aman was also into this unknowingly just like Arnav? All this was a ploy by Shyam to get a hold on their life? How deep are they into this now? Is there an escape? There is no way he could get any help, whom does he have to turn to help?

"By the way, My dear would be the father in law I'm surprised to see so much love and concern for someone who is not your blood." The smile was prominent on his face, his face reflecting his sickening thoughts.

"What do you mean..." No this can't be true, he didn't know it, he shouldn't.

"Again playing innocent cards, fine let me spell it out for you, Payal is not related to you by blood then why worry for her? Think about your son h.."

"She is my niece, there is no way I will sit and watch while her life is at stake.." he couldn't bear to hear the truth which was buried so deep that there is no chance of it to show its presence in their life's again. But all said and done, truth can never be erased completely one day or other it would surely come out in an unexpected way and mostly at an unexpected time creating a havoc in its wake. All this while he was under the assumption that it was only known to three people, suddenly something struck his thoughts, does Payal know it?

"I think it would be better if you take rest, you would need some time to come to terms with the latest happenings in your life, be ready to come to the wedding, after all, you were Payal's family all these years." with that he simply asked his guards to show HP his way out from his office.

"Rohan, Rohan beta, listen to me, hello, Rohan? Hello?"

Khushi stopped in her tracks listening to the name. She was strolling through the garden when she heard Mr.Gupta's voice. Backing herself to the wall nearest to the window she tried to hear further, while she doesn't want to be privy to their talks, it is related to Lavanya here, she is the next closest and important person to her after Arnav, there is as well some doubts nagging about NK in both Arnav's and her mind.

"Mano, the boy is not ready to comply to any of our words, I warned you to back off from this at the very beginning but no you never gave it a second thought now see where it has led us to."

"Even I'm afraid about his life, I wish I have a chance to change the situation but I can't turn back the time and change the way, can I now?"

"Life never keeps on giving us chances there rarely will be any second chance which you let go off without thinking twice."

"Now stop with this, I will see what can be done, rather than shouting at me over the things we lost control of why don't you try to convince Rohan to leave the city saying that his life is in danger?"

"What reason you expect me to give him for this?"

Their talk was interrupted as Mrs.Gupta's phone choose the same moment to ring letting know of an incoming call.

"Hello, Oh okay thank you, actually I need to ..hello..hello.."

"What is it?"

"The donation cheque from SHAKSHY is sent, even before I could speak anything else, they disconnected the call."

"I think it would be better if we.."

Even before Khushi could hear further she heard footsteps near to her alerting her of someone else's presence too in the garden, there surely would be many doubts if anyone catches her eavesdropping into Gupta's talk so silently moved away to the other side.

Arnav reached home and the first thing he noticed was his father is setting the table for dinner.

"Dad? Where is HP? Why are you doing all these?"

"He left."

"Left? What do you mean by left?"

"He left the house to never come back, in the pure sense he is not working for us anymore."

"But why?"

"Now, now how would I know the reason, behind it? Anyways it is good that I'm free again to do all these, freshen up and come, I'm starving."

HP left? But why? When everything was simple he entered their life's and when it is complicated and when he is trying to find out the man goes missing without any reason, his father doesn't seem to mind it but he needs to know where he went and why so suddenly?

"What do you think does Lavanya know about it?"

"I seriously don't know Khushi everything seems muddled up and confused. From what you have heard it looks like Rohan's life is in danger and they are trying to send him to some other city, but why? what is the reason for his life to be at stake? As far as I remember I don't think La has ever mentioned about moving out of the city may it is time to speak to her at least on this."

"Hmm, I forgot to say this, there is a donation cheque which is sent from SHAKSHY and Mr.Gupta doesn't seem to go ahead with encashing it, I mean I didn't get the chance to hear to them completely but I feel he is not comfortable with the transaction."

"Khushi, do you think we will find any clue if we get to see the cheque?"
