Rescue me. Avengers x reader

Hi, sorry I haven't posted in a few days but I've been ill, but I hope to update twice today Xx

The group ran after Tony who was running as fast as his iron suit would carry him down the winding corridors

Each turn brought him only more despair, becoming increasingly more frustrated and desperate

"Tony, do you even know where you're going?" Steve yelled as they took yet another left turn down yet another identical corridor

Tony didn't reply, wether out of spite, breath or he simply didn't hear steve he did not know,

Steve simply rolled his eyes as he ran forward trailed closely behind by Bucky and Natasha

He knew this was getting them nowhere and as the seconds, that felt like hours, ticked on by, he became more and more aware of the fact they had not run into a single agent

He wanted to pass it off as a miraculous stroke of luck but he knew that would not be the case - something was at play here - something they would soon find out

Steve willed Tony to slow down, to evaluate their options and come up with a plan instead of mindlessly running down the maze-like corridors,  instead Tony took a hard right

Steve would have sighed but as he too, turned the hard right corner he ran straight into the back of his friend making a rather cartoonish clanging sound

"Steve!" Bucky yelled as he too ran into what appeared to be a large room

The man would have helped his friend up but he froze before he could, looking out into the room the group had only just noticed about one hundred armed guards in a circle formation around a large white box looking thing in the centre of the room

"Welp, isn't this grand?" Wanda muttered to herself as she got into a fighting stance

Suddenly everything exploded, both literally and figuratively. The sounds of continuous gunshots almost deafened the group as they fought with all their might

Steve threw his shield again and again knocking down more and more agents, Bucky was trying desperately to haul off the twelve agents that had simultaneously jumped on him, Natasha flawlessly flipped and dived, breaking the necks of any agent stupid enough to get close and Tony- Well Tony was a sight to behold

He fought with a, before unseen and thought to be impossible amount of rage,  not giving a damn if he killed or merely knocked out every agent on his radar. Bullets ricocheted of his armour as he fought on until there were no agents left standing

"Is that it?" Steve asked breathlessly, looking at the white box in the centre of the room

Tony stepped forward, all the courage left him and he was suddenly filled with anxiety

"Tony I-"   Wanda's voice was cut off by a control panel appearing from the floor, above it was two screens, one was covered in writing and the other was a videos feed- from within the cell

"That it - tha-that's her" tony muttered, looking at the girl in the room- you were passing the width of the tiny circular room again and again, unaware your last family members was standing just outside

Tony took off his helmet and stepped out of his suit, he began to press the buttons on the control panel

The group behind him walked up to him and looked over his shoulder- not entirely sure what to do

"I'm going in" tony said without looking at the group

"Tony-"

"What?!" Tony spat at Bucky

Bucky took a breath, looking in sympathy at the broken man in front of him "let me talk to her"

"I'm sorry?" Tony stepped forward and looked up at the taller man "you should go in- over me?!"

"Stark- I know what she's going through, you going in there might confuse her and she could go into-" he paused and took a breath wiping his forehead with the back of his hand "she could go into a rage, it's scary, nothing makes sense and- and all you feel you can do is-  the only thing they've made you good at- violence"

Tony looked like he was contemplating what Bucky just said

"I get it, you want to see her," Bucky continued "but it won't do any good- you can watch in the video feed and you will get to see her- just let me set things straight with her first"

Tony sighed, he gestured Bucky towards the cell without a word and Bucky gave him a thankful look

"It's ok Stark,  you've got her back" the door to the cell slid open and Bucky stepped inside - the door sealing behind him
