There were days where I would just go out of my house,
visit the places we've been together,
and today was one of those days.
I woke up early with puffy eyes and hope still in my heart.
Once I finished breakfast, I decided to pass by my favorite bookstore where
Hyunjin accompanied me a lot of times.
He would always wait for me even if it takes me too long
to pick and buy a book. He would cling onto my arms,
trying to get my attention though I wouldn't budge.
I visited the little convenience store
where we would have a competition
on who could eat spicy noodles the quickest.
He would always act like it's extremely spicy,
letting me win and decide his consequence.
And my heart clenched as I ate his favorite ice cream
at the bench where we would always sit at the park
which overlooked the lively playground and the vast pool.
He would always slip his arm and tucked it with mine,
using it as a pillow for him take a nap on.
Little did I know,
someone from a few meters away was watching me
with tears in his eyes as he blamed himself for his stupidity,
wondering how it got to this certain situation.
Little did I know,
someone wants to run towards me
and embrace me into a tight hug and never let go again
Little did I know,
I wasn't the only one in pain
as the one who watches me from a far was so torn and messed up as I am
little did she know,
Hyunjin wanted to show himself but was a coward
for he couldn't forgive himself after breaking her heart into a million of pieces.
It was all his fault, he thought as tears flowed down his cheeks
watching her silhouette slowly disappear.
