Summary

Kelsie is a selkie. She's been living alone near the sea town of Port Royal since she was brutally subjected to having to watch the murder of her entire immediate family at the tender age of 12.

William Turner is a plucky lad with a penchant for swords. He's been living at Port Royal since he was 12 and is now the blacksmith's apprentice. He has never known his parents either.

They were never supposed to meet. They were seperated by land and sea, a barrier that should never be crossed. So what happens when Will dredges up Kelsie in one of his master's nets?

Author's Note

Hi! This is my first ever completed fanfiction on this site! I wrote this at the height of my (initial) pirates of the caribbean hyperfixation, so it has (probably) not dated well and/or doesn't make any sense. Please keep this in mind when reading.

Also, timeline wise this is set one year before the first movie and Anne is a historical pirate (I just modified her a little bit to fit into this universe.)

This book was started on the 8th of July 2017 and completed on the 11th of December 2018. It was edited initially on the 7th of October 2020, and then edited again from the 1st of August 2021 to the 18th of October 2021 ! I hope you enjoy it! <3
