Finding a job (Chapter 1)

Author's Note:

Jeankasa will be here.  But later on will be Rivamika.  Another thing is that Petra will be in this story, but! She won't interfere with Rivamika. She will be paired up with Oluo okay😊.  

Sorry if I'm not a good writer, English is not my first language.  So I can't do details good. I apologize.

By the way, I don't know much of the Mental Hospital nor the disorders, so please, no hate, I don't know.  Literally, I don't know, I just got this idea.

“Hey Jean, I'm going out okay” Mikasa said as she grabbed a coat from the closet.  “Looking for a job again?” Her boyfriend, Jean, asked. For the past few weeks, Mikasa has been searching for a job.  She has been looking for one everywhere. Jobs that have good paying, not too far, and in need for workers for day shifts.

Jean, on the other hand, he doesn't have job.  He hasn't even started to searching for one either.  He had a job but was fired. That's the reason why Mikasa needs to find a job.  So they can have money for food, pay the rent, etc. Jean promised her that he will find a job eventually but not now.  Right now he wanted to spend time with Mikasa.

Jean does help around the house.  He makes dinner for both of them, does the laundry, chores.  At least he's doing something unlike other men that just sit around and drink.  

“Yeah.  You know we barely have enough money for rent” Mikasa pointed out, as she put on her coat, “So today I'll try to find a job” Mikasa promised.  

“Don't worry about it if you don’t” Jean said, not even bothering reminding her that today she promised that they'll spend time together.  “Okay then. Be back later” she said as she gave him a quick kiss on the lips. “Okay stay safe alright” he told her, knowing the outside world is a unsafe place.  “Don't worry I'll be fine. Bye” she headed towards the door.

“Bye” then she left.

Mikasa was in town, walking around, looking for places that had the sign ‘Help Wanted’.  She even asked store owners if they needed extra help, but many didn't need help. She's asked many places if she can apply for the job there but, they didn't needed extra help at that time.  Hopes were down.

After a few hours of searching, she finally gave up for today.  She stopped by a coffee shop. She went inside and ordered herself a cup of coffee.  And sat down and waited for her order.

Soon her order was called.  Until she bumped into a shorter female.  “Oh I'm sorry” Mikasa apologised, realizing her frustration got her distracted, and wasn't paying attention on where she was going.  The female smiled, “It's okay. It was an accident” the orange haired female said.

Mikasa proceeded on getting her coffee and sat back down on her table.  As Mikasa took a sip of her coffee, she noticed the same female she bumped into, looking for a place to sit since the whole shop was packed.  Mikasa looked at the empty chair that was in front of her. She turned her head to the orange haired female, “Hey” she called, which got her attention.

“You can sit here” Mikasa offered, pointing to the empty chair.  The woman smiled and walked over to the table and sat down. “Thank you.  I thought I was gonna have to stand the whole time while eating my cake” she giggled.  “Yeah. This place gets packed”

The woman agreed and continued on eating her cake.  After they were done, the woman introduced herself, “Hi.  I'm Petra” she greeted. Mikasa looked up and responded, “Nice to meet you.  I'm Mikasa”
