A week later, you were completing a recon sweep of space in Saturn's' asteroid rings while a maintenance team worked on a damaged destroyer nearby. The Galaxius was next to the damaged destroyer providing close support in case any enemy forces tried to attack. Your Skelter's searchlight scanned the area until your computer beeped, indicating there was something out there. You opened a comm channel to the bridge of the Galaxius and your commander answered

"What is it Captain L/N?" ,he asked.

"My computers picking up a ship. It's a civilian one, without power or weapons. Orders?", you replied. He thought about it before he spoke again

"Look for that ship, and send me the coordinates when you find it. We'll see what they have to offer for us", he ordered. You nodded before you began searching. You found the ship and sent the coordinates to your commander, who then sent out a Warden to survey it. You heard a transmission coming through on your ship

"Please, do not shoot. We surrender. We have wounded and are without power or weapons. Repeat, we surrender", a voice said. It was sad and pleading. You shook your head and looked at the Warden crew

"Dock with the transport and take them all on-board. The commander wants to talk to them personally.", you ordered and the Warden docked with the damaged ship

"Thank you so much", the voice said sounding happy and eager to get on-board. You simply nodded your head despite knowing they couldn't see you and followed the Warden back to the Galaxius. The Warden landed and you landed nearby, climbing out of the Skelter. You noticed there were women, children and men disembarking from the Warden, some badly wounded, others helping others walk and, in a few cases, being carried out on a makeshift stretcher. Your commander arrived in the hangar bay and you saluted them. You noticed one of the children copying you. Normally you'd smile, but you had to be serious in the presence of your commander. He took a moment to study the others and pointed to two troopers nearby

"You two! Get the severely wounded to the infirmary. I want them ready to talk as soon as possible", he ordered and immediately they rushed the more severely hurt to the infirmary. Your commander looked over the others, while you were looking at the kids

"Why were you in Saturn's asteroid rings?", your commander asked the taller man

"We were looking for a way to avoid the war between you and the UNSA. We're nothing but miners looking for a way to settle down and build a colony away from conflict. We were attacked by UNSA forces who thought we were one of your ships because ours looked like those smaller ships you have", he explained

"You mean to tell me they attacked you because your ship looked like one of our Ajak Cutters?", you asked folding your arms. The man nodded and you looked at your commander. "What do we do sir", you asked him and he thought about it. SetDef usually never takes prisoners. Neither you nor him knew what to do

"Get the wounded to the infirmary and when they're healed, put them in the brig. Admiral Kotch will decide their fate. They could be useful to us. If the UNSA attacked them, then they could be useful as troops or other roles. No one is to hurt them more. The admiral will not be happy if he hears about potential help being ruined by anyone's incompetence.", he replied and you escorted the wounded to the infirmary, a few kids hitching a ride on your back. You groaned under their weight. 

"I did not sign up for babysitting duty....", you muttered to yourself as you put the wounded on the medical beds and the medics went to heal them. You placed the kids down and they went to their wounded parents. You shook your head and heard a cry for help. You ran to it and saw two of your squadron attempting to rape a woman. 

"Please, don't. I don't want this", the woman begged but the two members just continued what they were doing. You stepped up. These two had strict orders to repair and refuel the Skelters and get them ready for the next mission in 15 hours, but they weren't following them, which only added to your anger.
