"Big news, gang!" Haise exclaimed with a serious expression as he walked into the kitchen, where you were all eating breakfast.

"School's cancelled forever?" Saiko hopefully asked while you snorted. Yeah, as if that'd ever happen.

"No, but the CCG came up with some information regarding 'Him'." He dropped a folder on the table near you as you stopped eating your cereal to check it out.

"In regards to what?" You questioned as you curiously opened it.

"He was in an organization." Sasaki informed. Shirazu let out a yelp of surprise before shutting up and allowing your mentor to continue. "For now, we're not sure who exactly. But there is strong evidence that someone from that very same organization infiltrated the school."

"How'd we know that?" You asked as you read the files explaining the basics about a group called Aogiri (it sounds like a whole fucking population. There are so many ghouls affiliated with it, what the hell?!) and another one called the Clowns (according to what you read so far, it's really fucked up).

"Because according to the school board, the personnel locked all the entries to the school the night of the operation, meaning that unless the ghoul had the keys, someone opened the door for him from inside."

You shot a worried glance at Urie, who returned it with an 'I told you so' look. You regret not stopping that girl when you had the chance.

"Okay, but why didn't we get this info right after we finalized the operation?" Tooru asked. He had a point there.

Haise rubbed his temples, looking extremely annoyed. "Don't get me started." Ah. So it's stupid problems with CCG employees. It's probably better to not ask about it.

"So what do we do? We can't go to school, that ghoul will kill everyone!" Ginshi exclaimed.

"It had the chance to make a move when we were unaware and it didn't. (Brighten up you fool.) It's not even aware that we know of its existence." Kuki rationalised.

"Exactly." Sasaki nodded before glancing nonchalantly at a nearby clock. "Oh crap! You guys need to hurry!" He then ushered you all out of the kitchen and upstairs, yelling at you to get dressed quickly while you whined about your unfinished bowl of cereal.

Ginshi surely was a sight to see that day. You've never seen him more paranoid. He's literally pointing at everyone, explaining how and why they could be the undercover ghoul. It's really though not to laugh in his face about it, and right now, Saiko and Mutsuki are failing at it.

"Ginshi, you need to calm down." You said, placing a hand on his arm for some reason (damn your weird habits). "It's not going to attack us today. We have plenty of time to figure it out with the CC-"

"SHH!" He hissed, covering up your mouth with his hand. "What if it hears you?"

"It won't hear them." Urie argued in an annoyed tone. He ripped Ginshi's hand away from your mouth. "And keep your filthy hand away from their mouth, they'll get sick."

Ginshi was about to snap back until you interfered. "Hey, hey! No fighting in school! You both know what happened last time! God forbid we vandalise the cafeteria, right Kuki?"

The purple haired male huffed (you now figured out that it was his most popular way of 'laughing') and gave you the soft smile you seemed to receive pretty often nowadays (not that you'd complain. He's pretty). "That's right."

Saiko and Tooru gave each other a knowing look before the bluette pretended to puke.

"Hey! What's got the two of you acting like that?" You asked. "Got any gossip for us or something?"

"No! Nothing!" Tooru quickly answered. A bit too quickly. You knew something was up.

"Come on, spill it." You insisted. The male started sweating, looking back at Saiko to silently ask her if he should really say something, although he knew Kuki would kick his ass for it.

"I need to go grab my stuff!" Shirazu exclaimed, saving Tooru the trouble of making a terrible decision. "(Y/N), come with me. I don't wanna get caught by the ghoul."

"For the last time, the ghoul won't get to you!" You exclaimed as you got up to follow your best friend. "You're too much of a wimp, it'd get bored of you within seconds."

"I'm not a wimp!" He argued.

The three remaining Quinxes watched you walk away with a hyperactive Ginshi.

"He'll get himself killed." Kuki muttered, glaring daggers into Shirazu's back. If only looks could kill...

"Cheer up." Tooru started, finally getting why Kuki was in such a foul mood recently. "I'm sure they're just friends."

The male shrunk on himself when Urie gave him the most frightening glare he had ever mustered up. "I don't know what you're talking about." From the way he spoke, it sounded more like he was trying to convince himself.

Saiko was dying to add her grain of salt in, but she knew better than to say anything. Tooru's words got the squad leader in an even fouler mood. Urie quickly gathered his things and left the table to go who knows where (it's not like Tooru had the courage to pry furthermore).

"I can't understand him." The green haired male muttered when Urie was far enough. He was still recovering from the glare he received. "It's not like it's a bad thing."

"I see where he's coming from though." Saiko piped up. "We're not... We're not guaranteed to live very long. Would you like it if the person you care for most would die because of a ghoul? And plus, Urie's the squad leader. He'd feel partially responsible if anything happened to (Y/N)."

"Well then he should protect them, no? It's his duty anyways to make sure we've got the best chances at success. And besides, (Y/N) is pretty strong from what we've seen. Urie should live in the present, not the future."

"I'm gonna quote you on that, Mucchan. 'Live in the present, not the future.' It sounds so cool!" Saiko cheered, apparently done with being 100% serious.

"Please don't."
