Chapter 18: Blind Threats

Y/n pov

It's been 4 days ever since the fight between Shay and I. He's managed to get calmed down and go back into his old self. But he doesn't know how he feels about Sabrina. He hasn't talked or made eye contact with her. I can see the look she gives him in class, she looked sorry. But Shay never looked at her

Right now Shay and I were walking to Cayde who was inspecting the damage on Liam and his team after Shay's rampage. I saw him walking towards us after shutting the door to the nursery

Y/n: So, what's the damage?

Cayde: Well, it's kind of bad

Y/n: What is it?

Cayde: The areas where Shay cut them, they were near fatal

Shay: What?! How?!

Cayde: You may have thought you did a little damage. But the sword was incredibly sharp. It almost cut Liam's arm off when you ripped it out

Y/n: And the others?

Cayde: They're worse, Poncho's chest will take a month or two to recover from, though it may take a year for him to recover from the shock of seeing your own chest ripped halfway open. Mart's confined to a wheelchair for at least a year, and Petren...

Shay: What?

Cayde: *Sigh* Petren's spine had been cut, not too deep, but a little more and you could've paralyzed him

Shay sighed and leaned against the wall and slid down. I looked back at Cayde

Y/n: I'll notify their parents

Cayde: Well, Liam appears to be recovering from his arm, but he will be avoiding missions, he's just been discharged an hour ago

I nodded and Cayde walked back into the nursery. I sat down beside Shay and leaned my head on the wall

Shay: *Sigh* It was so simple back then

Y/n: At home?

Shay nodded, never taking his eyes from the window

Shay: Yeah, it was so easy, no problems, no Grimm, no girl issues. Just me, mom, dad, and you three

Y/n: Nothing's ever so simple, we just choose to ignore the hard parts in life. But they end up catching up to us at some point in time

Shay: Mmm

Y/n: ...You know Sabrina's been trying to talk to you? She's even begged me to get you to meet with her

Shay: *Sigh* I don't know about that. I know that she's trying to fix things, but everytime I see her, I just see all the shit she's put me through

Y/n: It's your call man. I'll leave you two alone

I got up and walked away

Shay pov

I was confused at what Y/n just said. I looked at him as he was walking away

Shay: Wait, you "two"?

I felt someone put a hand on my shoulder. I turned my head to see who it was and saw Blake

Blake: Hey

She looked a bit concerned. I smiled at her and her face grew red

Shay: Hi

She sat beside me, never taking her eyes off mine

Blake: How are you doing?

Shay: Fine, I guess. You?
