Emanuela's POV
Nick had finally returned from picking up Enrique, and they walked in holding Taco Bell. Enrique looked completely high, which wasn't surprising, but he did look suspiciously as if he had recently been crying.
"I got tacos!" Nick announced enthusiastically.
"Thank GOD!" a slightly stoned Alexis shouted, passing the joint back to Joe so she could have her hands free to stuff her face with tacos. Joe rolled his eyes but still brought the blunt to his mouth and took a few puffs before holding it out in my direction.
"Umm.. no thanks" I say, kind of annoyed "I don't do drugs."
"Bruhh," Joe says, laughing.
"Come onnn," Alexis draws out, "it's fun."
"Stop trying to peer pressure me. I'm not doing weed." I tell them stubbornly.
Joe, Alexis, and Nick bust out laughing for several minutes, the weed in their systems only making the situation more funny to them.
"Damn, I never took you as a goody two shoes," Nick says around a mouthful of taco, clumsily sitting between me and a silent Enrique.
"I'm bored," Joe says after a long quiet moment, "anyone got anything more..heavy duty?"
Enrique grins and holds out his bag, saying "Oh you know I do."
Joe rustles around in the bag, opening and closing a few pill bottles before downing a small handful of white pills. Alexis looks concerned and purses her lips, but doesn't say anything to avoid a very public argument.
"What the hell,Joe,I thought that you of all people would know better than doing that shit. It's gonna kill you one day!" I shout before storming out of the room and walking back toward Stacy's house, where I planned to stay another night.
