I woke up to hear a kind of pattering sound.
I opened my eyes and saw a dark shadow knocking on my window.
Maize.
I looked at my clock. 3:15 in the morning
I smoothed down my hair and quickly put on a swipe of lip gloss.
Wait...since when do I own lip gloss? I rolled my eyes and went to open the window.
Maize slipped into my room.
"Hey. You're out the hospital."
"Yep. I got out like an hour ago or two ago. I'm good as new."
"I'm glad."
I walked over to my Ipod dock and it started playing my favorite song, Sweater Weather by The Neighbourhood.
Maize looked at me.
"I kind of owe you a dance." I said sheepishly.
I walked over to him and put my hands on his shouders, and he put his on my waist.
"So whats up with you and wonderboy?" He asked nonchalantly.
" He came over today."
Maize stiffened.
"He wanted to know how I felt about him, and i told him I liked him as a friend. I have my eye on someone else."
"Who?"
I smirked. "I'll give you three hints: his favorite color's black, he's a vampire, and i'm about to kiss him."
I tilted my head and kissed him. He wrapped his arms around me more tightly pulling me closer. I ran my fingers through his hair.
We pulled back for air smiling.
He smacked his lips.
"Lip gloss?" He asked laughing.
"Shut up."
"Make me."
I looked at him mischeivously before we started kissing again.
We went on like this for hours kissing, dancing, teasing.
When the sun started coming up Maize figured he'd better leave. I gave him a peck goodbye before plopping on my bed smiling and drifting to sleep.
