Vampire's Kiss

Chapter One

(Dipper)

"Just kill it Dipper," my uncle, Ford, snaps.

He keeps pressuring me to stab a vampire.

He holds the vampire against the wall and hands me a stake.

"It's a living breathing person!" I argue.

"It's just an object! It can't feel! It's pitiful life doesn't matter!" Ford yells.

"P-Please... I have a husband and children!" The female vampire begs.

"I won't," I reassure.

"Thank-"

My uncle stabs the creature.

Black blood oozes from the wound and the vampire disintegrates into ashes.

I blink away tears.

"You guys are murderers," I mumble.

"What was that?!" Ford yells.

"N-Nothing!" I say in a panicked tone.

I turn to run away, but Ford grabs me and throws me to the ground.

"You bastard! Why can't you be like your sister?! She has killed circles around you! You need another lesson!"

I shake my head.

"I d-don't!"

He rolls his eyes and takes out a knife and whip.

I hold back tears as my uncle 'disciplines' me.

No matter what happens to me, I'll never kill a neutral vampire.

That Night-

(Dipper)

I limp to the dinner table.

"Did he kill the vampire yet?" Uncle Stan asks his brother.

"No. The wimp won't do it. He knows  what to do. He just won't kill the animal."

I bite my lip.

"A vampire is living! That vampire had a family..." I say sadly.

Stan and Mabel burst out laughing.

"I would have killed that thing in the blink of an eye!" My twin laughs.

I squeeze my fork until my knuckles turn white.

"I'm going out for a walk," I mumble as I stand.

"Fine. I'd tell you to take a stake, but you're not going to use it!" Ford laughs.

I grab my blue jacket (it's my favorite), and head outside.

I take a deep breath as I enter the woods.

I find a place to sit and gather my thoughts.

The air around me seems to grow colder.

I shiver and pull my coat closer to my body.

"Wh-Who's there?" I ask.

A shadowy figure lands in front of me.

It pulls its hood down from its black cloak.

The male opens his golden eyes and stares at me.

"Hello," he says, showing his pearl-white fangs.

"H-Hi..." I stammer to the obvious vampire.

"Who are you?" The blonde asks.

"M-Mason P-Pines... but people usually call me D-Dipper."

"Hello D-Dipper," he says jokingly.
