Y/n

I wake up. I look around, confused. I'm not in my room. I realize I'm in Steve's room, and that he's not beside me. His pillow is missing. I get up and walk into the living room. I see him sleeping on the couch. I grin. I create a big water ballon above his face, and let it pop. The cold water startles him and he wakes up punching the air. I laugh. He rolls off the couch and lands on the floor from the movement. I laugh harder. I hear Loki coming downstairs, probably to see what all the noise is about. Steve realizes what just happened to him and stands up. His hair drips onto his shirt, and the floor around him. I continue laughing.

"Y/n!" His tone makes me laugh even more. He starts to come for me but I run away. I run behind Loki, who cracked a smile at the scene in front of him. I hold onto his shoulders as I use him as a barrier between me and Cap.

"You won't catch me Cap. You know I can teleport." I giggle.

"I'll get you. Trust me." He pulled Loki away and I run up the stairs. I hear him following me so create an illusion. Or four. Each one of me goes into one of rooms in the hall, closes the door behind them and vanishes, while I teleport myself back to the bottom of the stairs. He goes toward the one in my room and I pull the door shut with a gust of wind. I laugh as I run to his room while he's stuck in mine. I release the door and I hear him throwing it open. He probably pulled it off its hinges. I hide in the closet. He comes running into the room and I hear him moving things around to check if I'm there. He walks into the closet, but doesn't turn on the light. I teleport in front of him.

"Boo." I laugh then kiss his cheek.

"I told I'd get you." He says hugging me. I feel the water dripping onto me as he does.

"Oh please. You and I both know I let you. Your hair is dripping." I pull his arm off of me and go sit on his bed. "Cap get out of the closet, and go take a shower. I don't want you to catch a cold." I grin.

He smiles. "Aww, you care about me."

"Of course I do." I get up and walk out of the room. I walk to the living room to see Loki sitting on the couch. "Hey."

"Hello, y/n."

"You hungry?" I ask. He shakes his head. "Could you show me more about Asgard?" I ask hesitantly.

"If you want." He said after a bit of thought. I nodded.

"Just not here." He stands up and walks to his room with me following behind. We sit on the bed and I close my eyes, focusing on opening up my mind. I feel his hand on my forehead, and I feel myself getting lighter, then heavier again as everything around me shifts.

Asgard

I open my eyes to see myself back in Loki's room. In Asgard. I sit up, still on his bed. I feel a pain in my ribs as I do, and my hand flies up to my torso. I lie back down. I groan and close my eyes. I feel a hand on my ribs and I open my eyes to see Prince Loki.

"I apologize if I startled you. I simply wish to help." He says gently. I gasp as I feel something flutter though my body, his hand the source. Just as quickly as it started, it stops. He lifts his hand and offers it to me as support as I try to sit up again.

"Thank you, Prince Loki." I say. I turn and let my feet dangle off the edge of the bed.

"You don't have to call me that. Loki is fine." He corrects. I nod and he helps me stand up. A knock sounds at the door just as I do. "Come in."

"Prince Loki, the Allfather has requested your presence, and asks that you bring the girl along." A guard says as he enters.

"Thank you." The guard notices the dismissal and bows, closing the doors behind him as he leaves. I look up at Loki.

"The Allfather wishes to see me?" He nods with a small smile. "What will I wear?" I say looking down at the loose shirt draped over me and my bare legs. "Certainly not this!"

He laughs. "Of course not. I requested that someone bring you an appropriate dress. I suspected the Allfather would wish I see you." I nod. He walks over to his closet and comes back with two dresses. They're mostly the same: floor length, full sleeve, modest neckline. The only noticeable difference is the colour. One is silver with green accents and the other is gold with red accents. "Which would you like?" He asks holding them both up.

"The silver, please." He smiles and hangs the gold one back up. He walks over with the silver dress and lays it out on the bed.

"I'll ask someone to come assist you." He says. I nod and he walks out.

He removes his hand from my head.

"Wait. That's all you're gonna show me? What happens next?" I ramble, sitting up so I'm eye level with him.

"I'm sorry, but that's all for today."

"Why?"

"You might not believe the rest of the story. I need you to be sure you want to do this. Take a few days to think about it."

"Bu-" I start, but he cuts me off.

"Y/n, you might not like what you hear as we go on, so I need you to be sure." He gives me a stern look. I sigh and nod.

"Well, what now?" I ask looking around his room. He opens his mouth to say something but I get a call from Steve. "Hello?" I answer.

"You need to come downstairs. Now." His tone worries me and I hang up. I stand up.

"Come on." He follows me as I walk downstairs to see everyone standing in living room looking tense. "What's going on?" I look around and see Peter. "Hey, Pete. What're you doing here?" I walk over and give him a hug.

"Hey, Y/n." He says softly, his voice cracking slightly as he hugs me back.

"Peter. What's wrong?" He lets go of me and I see tears in his eyes. "Peter?" I ask quietly.

"May's dead." He replies in an equally quiet tone. I suck in a sharp breath, and pull him into a hug again.

"Oh Peter. I'm so sorry." He hugs me tighter and I can feel him shaking slightly. "Hey guys, can you give us a minute?" Everyone clears out except Tony. He looks at me uncertainly, and points at Peter. I just shake my head, and he leaves as well. "Hey. They're gone. Do wanna talk?" He nods. "Here?" He shakes his head. "Wanna go outside? I know a good spot."

"Sure." He replies, letting go of me. We walk out side and I lead him to the hill I usually sit on.

"How did she..." I trail off.

"Someone broke into the apartment. I don't know who, or how, or why. She was laying on the floor, in a puddle of her own blood, when I got home." A tears fall down his face as he pauses. "I called 911 but she was dead even before I got home. Nothing else was even out of place. They didn't want anything." He paused again and more tears fell down his face. "Except her life." He hugs his knees and lowers his head, sobbing. I hug him from the side. We sit like that for a while, and he eventually stops crying. I keep my arms around him until I get a call from Steve. I answer.

"Y/n, where are you?" He sounds worried.

"I'm with Peter. Why, what's up?"

"Loki was looking for you. And Tony and I couldn't find you or Peter."

"We'll come back soon." I reply and hang up, not waiting for a response. I put my hand on Peter's back. "Did you bring anything with you?" I ask gently.

"No. Why?" He asks looking up.

"You're staying here. I'm not letting go back alone. We'll go pick up your stuff. Come on." We walk back. When we're back in the living room, I turn to Peter. "Stay here. I'll be right back." He nods and sits on the couch. I run up to my room to grab my car keys. I stop in front of Loki's door. "Hey, what did you need?" I ask, peeking in. He looks up from his book.

"Nothing. I was just wondering where you were."

"I'm just going with Peter to pick up some of his stuff. Could you tell Steve that I'll be back soon?" He nods. "Okay thanks. I'll see you in a bit." I rush back downstairs. "'Kay, let's go." Peter and I walk out the door.
