Once upon a time, a legend was whispered among shadows.

It was a legend of hope. It was a legend of dreams.

It was a legend of light. It was a legend of dark.

This is the legend of DELTA RUNE

For millennia, light and dark have lived in balance, bringing peace to the world.

But if this harmony were to shatter, a terrible calamity would occur.

The sky will run black with terror and the land will crack with fear.

Then, her heart pounding, the earth will draw her final breath.

Only then, shining with hope,

Three heroes appear at world's edge.

A human, a monster, and a prince from the dark.

Only they can seal the fountains and banish the angel's heaven.

Only then will balance be restored, and the world saved from destruction.

Today, the fountain of darkness stands tall at the center of the kingdom.

But recently, another fountain has appeared on the horizon.

And with it, the balance of light and dark begins to shift.

I sat alone in the early morning, eating my breakfast. I was alone in this house. I was a mere human in a tiny shack, at the edge of a tiny town. The light of the sunrise was the only thing that accompanied my solitude. The sunlight touched every thing in this house and went through every open crevice and curtain. Her fingers tenderly rub across my cold frame, from my gentle face to my bare hands and feet, the sunlight was comforting and warming. It was a quiet daybreak as usual.

Because my father is at his work, it is my responsibility to get to school on time. After finishing my breakfast, I rinse the used dishes and head to get ready for school. I grab a thin jacket and swing it over my shoulders, placing one arm through one hole and do the same for my other arm. I walked on the cold, tiled floor to my room. I put my socks on and slipped on my shoes. Walking out the house, I zip my jacket up to my collar bone. I grab my house keys before I close the door and lock it.

It was time for me to go out.

It was Autumn, time for sweaters and pumpkins and red and brown and orange and yellow and... romance and drama and friends and family time. It was not my most favorite time of the year, being I have no friends or family to accompany me. It was most certainly not my favorite time of year. I put my hands in my warm pockets, inhale the sweet scent of pumpkin and exhale through my mouth, ready to overcome this lonesome day as everyday.

Because it was Fall, I only see the beautiful sights of river birch and the classic, sugar maple trees. I was relaxed... For once. Something most insecure, anxious high-schoolers don't experience with the huge amounts of pressure and weight on their shoulders was relaxation. I am one of those high schoolers. But today, I was relaxed, calm, and collected... You could even call me prepared for this day. Tenaciously, I was grateful for this time. Never am I so serene like I am now.
