15.) Forgiveness Pt.2

During lunch, you were dragged to the girls corner, even if Ruby hates you.
"What should we talk about today?" Josie says.
"Gilbert." Ruby said dreamily but snapped out of it when she saw you.
You shifted uncomfortably under her gaze.
"Why don't we play a question game with y/n? We've done it with every girl except for her since she's never sat here." Diana says.
"Sure?" You say.
"What's your favorite color?" Another girl there asks.
"(Favorite color)" You say.
"Ideal date?" Josie Asks.
"Anywhere with the person I love." You say.
"How many times have you kissed Gilbert." Ruby asked snobbily.
You just looked at the ground and blushed.
Josie elbowed Ruby a bit.
"Favorite flower?" Anne Asks.
"(Favorite flower)" You say.
"Are you and Gilbert dating?" Ruby Asks angrily and sadly.
"Ruby." Josie says whisper yelling at her and glaring at her.
"Am I supposed to answer her questions?" You say laughing nervously.
"No, moving on!" Diana says.
"My question, can I steal her for a second?" Gilbert says behind the curtain the girls set up to separate them from the rest of the room.
You get up and see Ruby glaring at you the whole time.
"What's up?" You say out of the fort.
"I don't know I just wanted to see you." Gilbert said.
"How's it going over there?" You ask signaling to the boys.
"Just talking about girls. I like to talk about you, it makes Billy mad." Gilbert says giggling.
"They are just asking me a bunch of questions. Ruby is asking questions about you, well our relationship well if that's what you want to call it I don't know." You say blushing a bit.
He tilts your chin up to look at him.
"Hey, Gilbert come here!" Moody says.
"See ya later cutie." He says.
He goes back to his spot at lunch and you go back to yours.
"We saw that whole thing, you guys are so cute!" Anne said.
"Where's Ruby?" You ask.
"Ran away crying." Josie said sighing.
"I feel so bad." You say.
"Not your fault, she's crazy about him. It's been almost 3 years and nothing has ever happened." Diana said.
When lunch is over everybody just sits around the class and talks since it's a free day.
You go into the coat room to put your book back and Gilbert follows. You put your book into your basket and turn around, just to be met with Gilbert Blythe's lips.
"Wow." You say.
"Wow." He says playfully back.
"We are in school you know. Calm down." You say giggling.
"I just really wanted to kiss you." He says smiling.
"Ok, Blythe." You say both walking back into the class.
You and Gilbert sit down next to each other and Anne comes over to you guys.
"Ruby is going crazy and we don't know why." Anne said.
"Was she in the coat room a minute ago?" Gilbert asked.
You glare at him.
"Yeah, How'd you know?" Anne asked.
"No reason." Gilbert says smirking.
You elbow him and he laughs.
A few seconds later Anne comes back over to you guys.
"Well now I know the reason." Anne says winking at you.
You roll your eyes.
When it's time to go you get your stuff all together and walk home with Gilbert.
At one point on the way home Gilbert stops at this beautiful snowy tree files spot.
He lets out a deep breath.
He seems nervous.
"Are you ok, Gilbert?" You ask.
"Y/n will you be my girlfriend?" Gilbert Asks.
"Really?" You say dumbfounded.
"Yeah, it's ok if you say no I just-" Gilbert starts but you cut him off by kissing him. At first he's shocked but then kisses back.
"I'd love to." You say hugging him.
"Great." Gilbert says excitedly.
When you get to your house you say goodbye to Gilbert and go to your room.
Gilbert Blythe is my boyfriend.
