The sound of my phone ringing was making me more and more anxious.
It rang 4 times before Tom finally picked up.
"Um (y/n)? Is everything ok? Did i do something?" He sounded as if he'd been crying.
"I could ask you the same thing Tom. What's wrong?"
"Its just I thought I'd messed everything up between us. I mean I've liked you since the day I first met you. And yes that milkshake thing did mean something to me. But I was just to scared to say anything in case I ruined our friendship."
What he had just said rendered me utterly speechless.
Tom liked me, as more than a friend.
"(Y/n)? Are you still there?" There was a rising concern in his voice when i didn't answer.
"Yea I'm here." I said, reassuring him.
"Did i say something? What's wrong? Please, (y/n) say something."
"I like you too Tom. As more that a friend." When I said it, it felt like a weight has been lifted off my chest.
"Wait really?"
"Yes really. I like you Thomas Stanley Holland. And i always have."
"I like you too, (y/n). Very much."
"God! It feels so good to finally tell you, love." I said, poking fun at his British heritage.
"I know! I want to scream it from the rooftops, "(Y/n likes me too!!" He shouted down the phone.
I released a giggle, giddy from our exchange.
"I can't wait to tell everyone! Robert's going to cry!" I said, laughing at the thought.
"Evans will likely faint." Tom said, chuckling.
"Anyway, I'd better go. Long day filming tomorrow, Tommy."
"Bye, love."
