SUMMARY !

Sebastián is as sharp as a tack, he never seems to miss a thing when it comes to being a detective. Everything is looked over carefully; cautiously, because he knows lives depend on the work he does. Going home to the teen he adopted when he was just a baby reminds him of what matters most in this world: family, friends, and love above all else. Working in Central City with dangerous meta-humans reminds him of another: everything is not what it seems.

Paired with the infamous Joe West, Sebastián Belmonte works alongside the detective in earnest. He's determined to make it onto the meta-human task force run by Joe and CCPD's one and only Captain Singh so Sebastián turns to Barry Allen, CSI, for advice on how to work alongside his father in the team. He gets no usable answer and is left to crack the "no code" on his own. Fortunately for Sebastián, he gets his chance to prove himself to Joe West and all of CCPD down the road.

And while he barely gets to be around the intelligent CSI, Sebastián constantly finds excuses to go see him as they grow closer in friendship and relationship. Everything is perfect... until Sebastián suspects that Barry Allen, his supposed "friend", is hiding something from him, and trying very hard to. The secrets, the lies—they drive Sebastián crazy until the point where he turns away and throws himself into his work. Making matters worse, his son Holden became a recluse once in Central City and the problems that aspire from his school swirl constantly in both of their minds; Sebastián would worry for Holden, and Holden would worry about what could possibly happen next.

Teenagers are so cruel. They resist conformity and rebel incessantly, sometimes over the stupidest of things. They also like to tease, mock, and belittle other people. Holden is one of those people. And when they find out his dad works for CCPD? When they find out that his cop dad is gay? The insults and bullying become worse, but he still refuses to tell Sebastián because, at the end of the day, he doesn't want to add more weight onto his dad's shoulders.
