Coffee Relations (Klance Coffee AU)

Day Nine... There's the Klutz (Tuesday)

The bell chimes and when I look up I grin.

"Hey Shiro."

I call out, My brother looks up at me warily.

"Please don't."

"Don't what?"

Pidge asks while coming out of the back.

"Keith."

Shiro shakes his head warningly. I ignore him and turn to Pidge smirking.

"Shiro had a little run in with Professor Wright."

"Oh..."

"He ran into him and spilled his coffee all down the front of him."

Pidge perks up at that.

"Continue."

"In doing so he drenched some of his papers and now Shiro owes him a new coffee."

"A date."

Pidge grins devilishly.

"NOT. A date."

Shiro adds in.

"Who's going on a date?"

Hunk questions.

"Shiro and Professor Wright."

"His name is Adam."

Shiro corrects. Hunk smiles knowingly.

"Awwww. Congratulations.

"Oh my god."

Shiro sighs while running a hand through his hair.

"It's not a date. People can have coffee together."

"But I was there."

I speak up.

"You ran into him and once everything was picked up he said, "You owe me one Takashi." Then you got all flustered and said, "Coffee, Seven, Tomorrow.""

"That's normal."

"You patted him on the shoulder then turned and almost ran into someone else. I think you have a chance though. He was smiling and laughed when you went to leave."

"He's a nice guy. You two would be cute together."

"Who'd be cute together?"

Lance speaks up as an arm slides across my shoulders. I push him away and walk back around the counter.

"Keith's brother here has a guy crush."

"On who?"

"Professor Adam Wright."

Lance's eyes flick to my brother and he nods.

"Good match."

"Uh, do I know you?"

Shiro asks.

"Nah. I'm their friend."

He points with his thumb behind the counter.

"Oh."

Shiro scans him over before extending a hand.

"Nice to meet you."

Lance shakes his hand and flashes a friendly smile.

"Same to you."

Shiro gives me a look and I shrug.

"He just kind of shows up."

Pidge nods.
"You get used to it."

We all watch as Hunk hands over a coffee to Lance.

"Thanks buddy."

"No problem. It's on the house."

Shiro looks pointedly at me behind the counter.

"Why don't you give me free coffee?"

"Because you're not a broke college student."

He frowns.

"You're a terrible brother. I raised you."

"Suck it up. You want coffee? You pay for it."

"Damn."

Lance raises a brow at me.

"That's harsh."

Shiro nods.

"Thank you!"
