"Keith!"
Shiro rams through the door of the coffee shop. His eyes narrow in on me and he stomps over.
"Hey, Shiro. Would you like something to drink?"
"What is wrong with you?!"
He shouts furiously.
"There is a dog in my house!"
"He's a puppy."
"I don't care!"
He growls.
"He trashed the house!"
"Oops."
"Why did you not tell me?!"
"He's not going to kill you Shiro."
"I deserve a free coffee. If not then that dog isn't allowed in my house."
"You're threatening me with coffee?"
I snort in disbelief.
"Sure."
"Espresso."
"On it."
I turn around and as I'm working I question him.
"Is he cute?"
"Yes."
"Can we keep him?"
There's a pause before he mumbles a response.
"Yes."
