it was the morning my mom parked outside the front of the school "by mom" I said as I unbuckled my seatbelt and was about to get out of the car but my mom stopped me "wait before you go there is something I have been meaning to tell you for a while" my mom informed me making me frown a little "for the past 3 months I have been seeing someone" what 3 months "what why didnt you tell me" I exclaimed a little "honey I was going to tell you after a month but then you told me about your relationship with that Brody guy I just didnt want to rain on your parade" my mom explained I suppose thats a little reasonable "ok whos the guy what's he like" I asked "hes a very nice guy and he has a son around your age and you will be able to meet them both tomorrow night"
"Why am I hearing about this now," I asked a little frustrated "I'm sorry hun like I said I didnt want to rain on your parade now I don't want to make you late so I will see you after school," my mom said before I opened the door "bye mom," I said as I got out of the car "by Brianna" I herd my say before I closed the door and walked across the front of the school through the front entrance where I saw everyone at a table at the cafeteria and I herd Preston say "I can't tomorrow night guys" as I walked up to everyone "why not Preston you love game night," Hayley asked as Brody noticed I turned up "hey Brianna," he said grabbing a hold of my hand "hi" I smiled "I know but I'm being forced to go to my dad's girlfriends house so her daughter and I could meet" Preston explained as I frowned thats weird
"wait a minute," I said letting go of Brody's hand "my mom just told me about her boyfriend and her son coming over tomorrow night" I explained as I walked over beside Preston as he shot me a weirded out/ confused look before Sarah stood between Preston and I put a hand on mine and Preston's shoulder "you guys don't think they're dating each other do you," Sarah asked Preston and I looked between Sarah and each other "no" Preston and replied "it might just be a weird coincidence," I said letting out a nervous laugh "right," I asked Preston as he let out a nervous laugh as well "yeah it might be" Preston replied
later I was with Hayley as we were talking my phone went off with dreamcatchers Chase me as my ring tone "nice ring tone" Hayley said laughing a little as I shot her a look "heyo" I said as I answered the phone making Hayley shoot me a questioning look "heyo?" I herd Brody's voice say coming out more as a question "don't judge" I told him smiling a little "anyway what's up" I questioned "can you come down to the backfield" he asked making me a little confused "now" I said a little confused "yeah I got a little bit of a surprise for you" he explained before the line went dead meaning he hung up before I hung up as well "uhh I gotta go" I told Hayley "I herd have fun" she said before I walked away as I herd Hayley say "use protection" making me turn to her "Hayley was in school" I told her as she laughed
I walked to the back school where Brody told me to meet him "ok Brody I'm here whats the-" I started to say before I looked up and saw a picnic layout set up "what's all this" I asked Brody a little surprised "well during this past month and a half we have been together and I'm not saying I don't like it cause I do a lot I realised we have never been on a date" he explained "is this your way of asking me out" I said challenging him a little as he let out a sigh "ok if thats the case Brianna will you do me the honour of going on a date with me"
