As the girl and the boy stood next to each other, at the bridge where they usually meet up near the park.

"It was a hard day today? Isn't it? Shuuya?"
The (h/c) haired girl asked.

"Yeah," the spiky haired boy simply answered, even if it was a simple answer, the (h/c) haired girl knew he was in a lot of pain.

"Don't frown, you're gonna look ugly if you frown, turn that frown upside down, bud" (y/n) said trying to cheer the boy up, he gave out a little smile, regarding his currently emotionally pain.

"What happened, I mean- I know what happened I just want to know the full story from you" (y/n) said.

"I confessed, to natsumi" gouenji said and looked at the river painfully. As the girl saw this her heart ached.

"Why did you do that?, you confessed and said the words when you know it's never going to work" (y/n) said worried, noticeable by her voice tone.

"I don't know, it just slipped" gouenji painfully said.

"No it can't be just a word slip, how did you do it?" The girl asked.

The simple question is met with a hum from the spiky haired boy, gouenji's nonverbal way of asking for clarification context.

As the spiky haired boy, tilted his head to look at (y/n), "I just thought that those rumors weren't true, that's all, I thought maybe natsumi, didn't like endou. That's all" the silver haired boy said.

"I hope I can be a little helpful at least
I hope I can be your resting place
I'll try to make you feel at peace
Whenever you think of me during your busy days"

" I thought maybe, if I never confessed there was no chance I could be with her, go big or go home? Does that match?" The boy said, giving the girl a reassuring smile

"You're such a soft-hearted person
Every time you are silently in pain
Even if I have to give my all
I want to make you smile again"

The girl stared at the boy and suddenly pulled him in a comforting hug, she somehow felt the pain, he was feeling. It was as if, they both shared feelings.

The boy was in utter shock but he decided to enjoy, the comforting hug the girl gave him and he just suddenly cries. Because it hurts.

"I want to cry for you

Ever again"

"Shush, shush, gouenji it's gonna be all alright, there's other fishes in the sea. Maybe you can catch a bigger one that this one!" The girl tried again to cheer him up.

'I guess it's go big or go home' the girl thought,
'Should I confess ?' The girl asked herself

"There wouldn't be a bigger fish, I can't catch anymore. Because I'm weak, I can't even pull the fishing net, how am I supposed to catch fish?" The boy sobbed more at the crook of the girls neck.

"Maybe, you don't need to catch more, maybe you already have a fish," (y/n) said, finally mustering up enough courage to confess.

Her breathing started to not feel well, and she started to feel nervous to face the boy's words, which she already knew what he was going to say.

"Huh?" The boy tilted his head and they were both looking right at each other's eyes.

"Y-you already caught me, a fish. I might not be as big as the other fishes out there I count myself as a small one, b-but I really like you. Gouenji, I know this isn't the right time to confess to you, but you said go big or go home, so I might as well take the shot" (y/n) said and breathed rapidly as she forgot to breathe,

The boy stared at her with wide eyes, he was scared to tell her the truth,

"I-I know you don't like me at all, just say it and reject me it's fine," (y/n) said suffering, her eyes shaking

Gouenji, finally mustered up the words to tell her

"I'm sorry"

He said,

"I want to cry for you
I want to hurt instead of you
I don't want any scars in your heart
Ever again"

"See, now we're equal gouenji" (y/n) said.

"Huh?" The Spiky haired  boy looked confused.

"You're not going to be the only one hurt, I don't want you to cry, I don't want anyone to hurt you, I don't want any scars left in your heart, ever again." (Y/n) said sadly but she was smiling, a painful smile.

She finally felt how he felt

As the girl left the boy, the boy staring at her in disbelief. He couldn't believe the events that happened today. As the girl held tightly to her coat and walked back, and didn't want to turn back and see him.
