Soldier

You said, "No soldier gets left behind"

Is that the last thing that crossed your mind?

How about, "keep your chin up"..?

Is that why you kept your gaurd up?

Or maybe, "A true soldier stands by their fellow brothers and sisters, and stay by their side"..?

Is that why you're not by mine?

I can't help that my  mind is constantly racing..

With things i wanna say.

Sometimes i swear i wanna scream,

"how could you?" in your face.

But even if i had the chance..

I know i can't.

You were my rock and i was yours.

And now that your gone..

My life's tryna fall apart.

But dad, im trying.

I'm trying to just let it be.

But it's so hard, 

cause i never heard you love me....
