Something Strange. Leo x Reader.

Something strange was happening.

For the past few weeks, Leonardo had felt...watched.

He couldn't quite explain it but he was certain that there was someone watching him. Someone hiding where he couldn't catch them but...definitely there. He tried to write it off as simple paranoia, but it was always there.

That feeling that he wasn't quite alone.

He made his brother's being more cautious, even asking Donatello to fix up security just to feel certain. But they couldn't hide forever, they needed food and supplies. And besides...Leonardo missed Y/N.

He found that he liked having a girlfriend. He liked being around this loving, gentle woman who made him smile like an idiot and feel...loved.

It was nice.

And he was feeling lonely so while his brothers were doing thier own things, Leonardo snuck away. He knew a pretty handy shortcut to her apartment complex and he took it, reaching her home quickly.

And he was happy that he did because the moment Y/N caught a glimpse of him, she ran out with a smile on her face.

"Hey, stranger."

Leonardo grinned, reaching out to her.

"Hey."

It was a sweet moment, the clone holding her close as thry spoke quietly...until he heard something strange. A noise from the shadows. Whirling around, he was finally quick enough to catch his little spy. But the last thing Leonardo expected to see...was Leonardo.

For a while, no one said a thing.

The two turtles stared at one another, Y/N caught in between it all. Someone had to say something.

"Is that him?"

Leonardo looked away from his twin and at his girlfriend instead, giving her a simple nod.

"You know who I am," Leo asked, "who are you?"

"That none of your business." The clone snapped.

He hated this. He hated how...insecure his brother made him feel. And he hated that this was happening in front of Y/N. Realizing that Leo had probably been the one following him around just made Leonardo more angry.

"You don't need to be here." He said.

"I just-"

"I haven't done anything! Not to you, not to your brothers. Is making friends a crime now?" Leonardo demanded.

"Hey..."

Her hand on his shoulder calmed him down, if only for a moment. Y/N looked at the other turtle and said,

"He's telling the truth. He and the others have stayed out of trouble. I understand your concern...but there's no need for it."

It was enough.

Leo left, still trying to figure out what was going on (his clone? Had a girlfriend?? What???)and Leonardo sighed.

He looked at Y/N with a crooked smile.

"Well, it could have been much worse." He said.

"Yeah...he's kind of short isn't he?" Y/N replied.

Leonardo laughed as they walked back to her apartment, his blue arm holding her close.

"Just compared to you! I hope he didn't hear that, I wasn't trying to be mean or anything."

Neither brother knew what to think if the other...but that didn't matter much to Leonardo. He was just happy to have Y/N...💙
