Buffy still hadn't found her way out of Kralik's dungeon, and was fast asleep when Dru came to her in a dream.
"Buffy?"
"Dru?" Buffy said in her dream.
"Buffy, you need to get out of here. Sunnydale is in havoc."
"I'm stuck in this prison? What can I do?"
"You're the Slayer. Use your powers Giles taught you." Dru told her.
But Dru faded away before Buffy could say more.
When Buffy woke up she felt like a different person...mainly because...Dru had completely taken over Buffy's body.
That's when Buffy, as Dru, found the strength to break the bars that kept her inside Kralik's dungeon.
In her new body, Dru would find her way back to her true love—Spike. Buffy's body would allow her to be with Spike again.
