(Val's POV)

I walked all the way back to the apartment. I was fuming.

I had just gotten inside when my phone rang.

"Hello." I said a bit to harshly.

"Are you okay?"

"Audrey?"

"Yeah, it's me. Are you okay?" She asked softly.

"I'm fine. Why do you ask?"

"Andrew just got back all bloody and I heard him mumbling your name."

I sighed and sat down on the balcony. "I'm good."

"Can I ask what the fight was about?" She was whispering as we spoke which, to me, meant she wasn't supposed to be on the phone now.

"He just got on my bad side, that's all."

"Hope he looks worse than you."

I smirked. "He does."

"Good. He deserved it. Goodnight Val."

"Audrey,"

"Yeah?"

"If he....does or says anything to you, let me know. Okay?"

"Sure thing. Goodnight."

"Goodnight."

"And ice your hand." She added before hanging up.

I walked back inside just as Enzo came home.

"Val," he started but I held up my hand.

"Don't."

"Don't what?"

"Just don't. I'm going to ice my hand and go to bed." I said just as my phone rang again.

It was dad.

"Shit." I groaned before answering.

"Valentine,"

"Father,"

"Would you like to explain to me what happened?"

"What happened?"

"A party. A warehouse. A guy named Andrew."

"How do you know about that? It just happened and it's like midnight or something."

"I have eyes and ears everywhere."

"He pissed me off."

"So you exploded."

"Yeah, I exploded. He pissed me off and so I made sure him and my fist got acquainted. Problem solved."

"Very well then, try to rein it more next time please."

"You're telling me to rein it in? The King Of Violence is telling me to rein it in?"

"Point taken. But do it for your mothers sake."
