Ven Conmigo reached number 3 on the US Billboard Mexican Album chart then it became the highest peaked album. It received Selena recognition as a Tejano singer that she establishing her.
Ven Conmigo went gold for 50,000 sales that making Selena the first Tejano singer to receive a Female Vocalist in the year of 1990.
Ven Conmigo received a nomination for the Tejano Music Award for the Album of the Year, Orchestra at the 1992 annual event.
Ven Conmigo contains half cumbia and half rancheras and includes musical influences from music genres: salsa, rock and roll, rap, soul music, traditional Mexican music, Mexican folk polka country and Colombian music.
