"Noami!" I heard someone call. The next thing I heard was a screeching sound, I think it was the shadow. I felt the person grab my hands and pull me up to my feet. I looked to see who it was and it was Anthony's mom.

"Noami, are you alright?" she asked. I felt a liquid run down my face, she noticed too. "Noami, you're bleeding" I just shrugged. It was hard to think after being rammed into a tree. "Come on. Lets go inside." We went in but I hated it when Anthony appeared on the stairs.

"Noami! What happened?!" he asked as he ran over to us. Surprisingly, he picked me up and carried me to the kitchen.

"The thing attacked her." his mom said. When we entered the kitchen May and Karmen gasped. They, other then us, were the only ones in the kitchen.

Anthony set me down in a chair while May and Karmen hurried to get the stuff they need to clean up my face. Anthony and his mom went to the other side of the kitchen to talk. I couldn't tell what they were talking about but I bet it was about me.

A few minutes later Anthony's mom left with May and Karmen, leaving me with Anthony. Anthony sat by me.

"Are you okay?" he asked looking.

"Yeah." I said as I looked at him.

"So, what happened outside?"

"I just saw it there and then it came at me. It seemed like it wanted to hurt me." I said. He gave me a hug.

"I'm sorry I wasn't there to help you. I promise I will next time." he told me

"It's okay, it's not your fault."

"If you say so."

"Okay well, I am going to go to my room." I said as I got up to leave.

"Or we can work on your fighting skills." He got up to with a grin on his face.

"Why do I need to work on them?" I asked.

"After what just happened, you could use some help." My face turned red and his grin turned into a smirk. The next thing I knew my fist was going full force toward his face. He caught my fist in his hand with out blinking.

"Like I said, you need to work on them. Badly." I sighed louder then I intended.

"Okay fine. When do we start?"

"Tomorrow. Be outside at eight o'clock." Then, he left.

Getting up was hard considering my side hurt from yesterday. I put on a blue t-shirt and light blue jeans. I put my hair in a french braid and put on my sneakers. When I got outside I saw Anthony standing in the middle of the yard. I walked over to him.

"I'm here now. What do you want me do to?"

"Push ups, sit ups, jumping jacks, squats, then toe touches. Do one minute of each, I will be timing you."

"Okay." I got on the ground and started doing the push ups. He made it hard because he put his foot on my back. I was just lucky he didn't sit on me.

He called out one minute so I switched to sit ups. When we got to the toe touches I grunted. I'm not that flexible. They aren't the ones were you can stand, I had to sit on the ground and touch my toes. I wasn't going to touch them, that was for sure, so what Anthony did almost made me yelp. He pushed on my back to make me get closer to my toes. It hurt because, like I had mentioned, I am not that flexible. He held out his hand and I took it. He helped me up to my feet.

"You did..... good" he said.

"Are you kidding? I did horrible." I said looking in his eyes.

"Only on the toe touches, other then that you did fine." he said as he put a hand on my shoulder.
