I STOOD STILL, not daring to move an inch or two. The railing that I was holding on was beginning to feel moist due to the sweat. I took a deep breaths before inching my head forward to spot someone I know.
"Joe." I called out to the man quietly as I carefully walked down the stairs with a nervous smile that I shot at the man
"Mary, you look beautiful." Joe complimented me once he saw me stand at the bottom of the steps
"Rosemarie, you really do look beautiful." Charlotte complimented me while giving me an encouraging smile

"Thank you." I thanked both Charlotte and Joseph with my cheeks tinted red and I looked down at my gown, smoothing the ruffles
"Rosemarie, tell Joseph that he has to pick up Mia." Charlotte informed me with a frown on her lips as she looked at the man besides her
"Why would Joey go pick up Mia? She told me that she was coming with our mom." I told Charlotte nervously and all of our eyes widened in realization
"Helen just arrived and said Mia was waiting for you." Charlotte relayed the information to Joe and I got even more nervous
"She's going to run." Joe gasped in shock and so did I when hearing his words, and I took a few deep breaths trying to calm myself down

"Where is she?" Joe asked Mr. Robutusen as the rain poured down on us but I had the dress scrambled in my arms so that the bottom wouldn't dirty even though I knew it was no use
"She went somewhere. I know nothing." Mr. Robutusen stated to us as he waved his arm in a random direction in the street making me growl in annoyance
