It's only 12 minutes left to the new year and everyone on the party is starting to fill the garden to Jisung's house to see the fireworks, while Donghyuck stays behind watching them through the windows.
The party has been amazing and all of his closest friends are here. He was really happy that everyone seemed to like Renjun and Chenle so much and also the other way around.
Chenle and Jisung have been talking all night, of course inviting others to join their conversations but still only having eyes for each other.
Donghyuck thinks Renjun has been on a hunt after someone who still is single, making the nomin couple jealous and watching over the boy.
The other couples have been all over each other, except for Doyoung who still is trying his best to hide from Jaehyun.
"Here you are" Donghyuck looks at his right to see Mark walking towards him. "Do you not want to see the fireworks?"
"Johnny will probably just set himself on fire like last year so we all need to go to the hospital"
"Probably" Mark lets out a chuckle and Donghyuck can't help but look at the boy beside him for some extra seconds. He remember the necklace he got from his secret Santa and is 100% sure it's from Mark. But he needs to know for sure.
"Thank you"
"For what?"
"The necklace" Donghyuck turns to a shocked Mark who gives away himself when a bright red color tints his cheeks. "I know it was from you"
"Y-you kn-ow?" It's a pause "I ju-st wanted to sa-say sorry about every-everything and you know s-she, you, me" Donghyuck checks his phone and right then can he hear the others in the garden starting to count down from 10.
"3! 2! 1! Happ new year!" Before Donghyuck knows what he is doing is he closing the gap between him and Mark, making lips meeting lips. Mark's lips are warm, soft, tastes like watermelon and are just Mark.
"GUYS JOHNNY IS BURNING AGAIN AND WE NEED TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL RIGHT NOW AND...... WHAT IS HAPPENING HERE!" The both boys break apart looking at a wide eyed Jaemin. Neither of them know what to say so Donghyuck just walks out but not before saying
"Didn't I tell you he would do it this year to" He knows Mark probably wants to talk about the kiss, but Donghyuck would take that talk another day.
I HAVE MY PHOEN AGAIN😁 and thanks for your understanding. It was horrible to be without my phone for 4 days, but I did it and I actually talked with my dad a lot more👍 The problem now is that I'm sick and have a fever, and I hate it. It's new year's eve and I'm sitting on my room while my friends are out 😔 I have at least buzzfeed unsolved to watch so I will survive😊
