how can i say goodbye to you?
it's been a long
four years together, filled
with sunshine-splattered memories.
you hold onto the
gentle mellow memories,
and you talk of them often,
and i know they
are a part of you.
mine are in a box
under my bed,
collecting dust,
curling at the corners,
shriveling.
they are all tainted by rain.
