A week later the incident had become a memory of the past. Harry and the rest avoided you, which was better than them constantly bugging you. This wasn't because Hermione and Ron, or Harry for that matter, didn't like you. Harry felt guilty but his suspicion of Draco out weighted that. Hermione and Ron simply stuck by Harry's side, they didn't think you were in the wrong they still thought of you as a friend but maybe space was good for right now.

The next day you didn't see Draco until the afternoon and when you did he seemed to be in a rush.

"Hey, Draco where have you been?" You asked as he pulled your arm gently to sit with him in a secluded part of the library where no one would hear the two of you.

"I was coming to breakfast but then I ran into Snape and he wanted to talk to me in his office, given what happened last week, and then I got all caught up and didn't get the chance to see you until now, but I have class soon so I have to be quick i'm sorry."

"Don't be sorry I'm not mad I was just wondering where you were." You said making sure he knew you didn't need to spend every free minute together. "So fill me in."

"Oh I'll fill you i-" he started but you interrupted him. "Draco! You are in a hurry yes? No time for sexual remarks, talk." He just smiled bashfully.

"Okay, well Snape first talked about a bunch of stuff but in the end he straight up offered to help me."

"That's good!" You said thinking the more help the better.

" No Y/n it's not, he just wants the glory for himself among the Death Eaters just to be able to say he is the one who did it."

"What's the matter with that? You aren't in it for the glory?"

"I know but it is my task I have to complete it not him."

"Well as long as it gets done..."

"But what if it isn't that easy? I have to prove my loyalty to him, complete this to redeem my family."

"Well maybe Snape can just help a little, it may be useful."

"No! Y/N it can't be that way."

You accepted the fact that Draco wouldn't accept help from Snape, he barely wanted it from you. His mind was clouded by the stress and fear, but you knew Snape could be of help so you decided that once Draco went to class you would talk to Snape, Draco didn't need to know.

He got up making sure he had the right textbooks and kissed you on the cheek before leaving. "I'll see you later." You smiled in response and watched him leave the room before you made your way to find Snape.

When you found him he was making his way to his office and talking to a Slytherin Prefect.

"Professor, can I talk to you for a minute?" You asked and received a strange look from the Prefect, a Hufflepuff requesting to speak with Professor Snape was not usual.

"It's about the potions assignment." You added hoping Snape would catch on that it wasn't really since you didn't have one.

"Professor Snape is not a tutor, Hufflepuff." The Prefect spoke snidely.
