Bonnie texted Silva early the next morning before sunrise to get her daylight ring. Bonnie invited her in and had her sit down on the shadow part of the bed once the sun rose. Bonnie opened the window a crack to that the sunlight hit the ring. She recited a spell and handed her the ring, "Here."
Silva nodded, slipping the ring perfectly on her right middle finger and then walked over to the window drawing the blinds all the way open. When she felt the sun on her skin and didn't burn she turned back to the witch, "Thank you, Bonnie."
With her head lowered, Bonnie answered, "Yeah, no problem."
Silva sat back down on the bed and asked, "Bonnie, what's wrong?"
Bonnie sniffled, "It's Jeremy. He cheated on me with his dead, vampire ex."
Silva sighed, "Oh, Bonnie. I'm so sorry." Silva hugged the witch, "If you need to let anything out, I'm here for you."
Bonnie then hugged Silva back and cried for a little bit. After leaving Bonnie's house, Silva went on a run, just to soak in the sunlight and her newfound freedom. She then started walking through the woods and spotted a deer. She grew quiet and attempted her stealth skills, but ended up spooking the deer. So Silva cut the beast off and wrestled it to the ground. Weirdly enough, she was curious as to how animal blood tasted in comparison to human blood and bit down into the deer. It wasn't bad, but I guess gnawing through fur was a bit of a downside.
Silva then released the deer and watched it run away as she wiped her chin. Suddenly a voice asked behind her, "Guilt getting the better of you?"
Silva stood up to face Tyler, "No, I just wanted to see how different animal blood tasted to human blood. What about you? Come to feast once on Thumper and the other woodland creatures?"
"No, I was actually hoping to talk to you."
"Oh really? About what?"
"Well Klaus knew that after Stefan killed you, you would turn, and he wanted me to negotiate with you about a potential alliance."
Silva scoffed and began walking in the direction of the Falls, "An alliance with the man who tortured and raped me in order to hurt my absentee mother? Hmm, let me think about it; Hell No." Silva quickly turned around catching Tyler's right hand, which was holding a stake and snapped his radius and ulna before kicking him back into a tree.
The Hybrid growled in pain holding his broken arm as Silva picked up the stake and walked over to him, "Let me guess, Klaus told you to kill me if I refused an alliance? You might be a hybrid now, Tyler, but I've been trained to kill since infancy by the Katherine Pierce. If you want to kill me, now that I'm a vampire, you're gonna have to be a lot craftier than that." Silva then shoved the stake into Tyler's stomach and whispered in his ear, "I'm sorry."
Silva then walked away and began to wash off the blood on her hands, chin, and shirt in the river before sitting on the bridge to wait for her shirt to dry. She heard the crinkling of leaves and said, "I can hear you." She turned her head to see a familiar blonde walk up to her, "But you probably wanted me to hear you."
"I just didn't want to spook you after your little row with my brother's new hybrid," Rebekah replied.
Silva sighed, "You saw that huh?"
"Yes and I've called my brother and told him that you're off-limits. My blood sired you and therefore you are my responsibility."
Silva cracked a half-smile, "Thank you. Now I won't have to worry about Tyler trying to kill me in my sleep. But why help me? Why protect me?"
Rebekah sighed and folded her arms on the edge of the bridge, "For a thousand years all I've ever had was my family, and I suspected the same after meeting you. We both are kindred spirits who both love and hate our families with equal measure, despite the abuse, torture, heartbreak, and abandonment they put us through. I want to be your friend Silva because you are one of the few people in this world who could actually understand how I feel. And if you will accept my friendship, I promise to protect you from everyone and everything, including my brother."
Silva thought about it for a moment and saw the truth behind the Original's eyes, but she was reminded to Gabriel's words and the male doppelganger she herself was protecting somewhere in Georgia. Silva sighed, "I'm just not sure if I can trust you, and I need to start a life of my own. Now that I'm a vampire I need to decide how to spend my eternity. That might mean leaving Mystic Falls." Rebekah looked at her with sad eyes and Silva hugged her, "But I promise not to leave until you've at least experienced your first high school dance."
Rebekah hugged her back, "Thank you and I understand why you need to leave."
Silva grabbed her shirt, put in on, and hooked her arm in Rebekah's, "Come on let's go dress shopping."
They began walking out of the woods when Rebekah asked, "Do you know that Elena is coming over to ask me about my story?"
"No," Silva answered, holding up her right hand, "I haven't seen anybody today from the Mystic Falls crew besides Bonnie for obvious reasons and Tyler. Why does she want to know your story?"
"She wants me to give her a reason not to awaken and unleash Mikael."
"Mikael?"
"My father, the man who has hunted my siblings and I for a thousand years."
Silva paused in her walk for a moment, "Why would a father purposefully hunt down his children?"
Rebekah took Silva's hand as they continued to walk, "I'll tell you alongside Elena. It's a tragic story and I only want to tell it once."
Silva and Rebekah made quick work of shopping and compelled the cheer-leading squad to put on the dresses and model for them when Elena arrived. Silva smiled, meeting her in the foyer, "Ah Elena! Please join us."
"Silva, are you alright? What are you doing here?"
The vampiress smirked, "Never better, little doppelganger." Her eyes widened slightly as she looked back at Rebekah who came to join them, "Hey, I might actually keep that one; it has a nice little rhyme to it. And I'm here because I want to hear the Original's story too."
Rebekah chuckled at her friend and handed Silva a glass of champagne, leading them into the house, "Come on in."
Elena looked at Rebekah, "Have you compelled Silva?"
Silva burst out laughing, "Really, Elena? You think that after being raised by Katherine I wouldn't be sipping on vervain everyday? I'm here of my own free will because I like Rebekah and we've decided to be friends until I leave.
Elena looked baffled, "You're leaving us?"
Silva nodded, "Yes Elena, I'm leaving you. Now that I'm immortal, I need to figure out what I want to do with my eternity. I can't exactly spend it with Katherine like we had planned, since she bailed and being here in Mystic Falls reminds me of how I failed all of you and ran when Klaus broke his curse." Silva took a breath before smiling again, "So I'm going to stay and make sure Rebekah has a kick-ass first homecoming and then I'll say goodbye, to everyone's faces this time."
Rebekah then cut in, "Speaking of homecoming." She turned and called, "All right girls, have at it!" The six girls Rebekah had compelled walked out and stood at attention awaiting for Rebekah's next instructions, "Okay, now twirl please."
Silva smirked and sipped her champagne as Elena asked, "You compelled yourself your own private runway show?"
Rebekah answered simply, "I need a Homecoming dress. So what do you think? Pick One."
"I'm not here to help you shop. I'm here to talk about why you don't want me to wake up Mikael."
Suddenly Rebekah vamp-ed over to one of the girls and held her fangs over the girl's flesh, "I said 'pick one', Elena."
Elena froze and then caved, "The...red one."
Rebekah smiled in her small victory, "There. That wasn't so hard, was it?" She then looked at Silva, "The red dress is mine, pick one for yourself."
Silva looked down the line, "I had my eye on the blue one since I saw it on the rack."
"Perfect." She then looked at the girls, "Go away. Remember nothing." Rebekah then picked up her champagne and hovered over Elena, "You do not threaten me. You'll learn what I allow you to learn. Is that clear?"
Elena nodded and the followed us up the stairs. This was going to be a very strained afternoon and Silva could already decipher that the ending would be someone in tears. She just didn't know whose.
