Chapter Four

Percy PoV:

When Strange finished telling me about his glimpses of the future, I started getting a bad feeling. "We need a plan. Its the stone he wants, and so everyone else can stay undercover until Strange give us the word. Tony will come down on Thanos will a large building, and we will go from there." I say. Everyone nods. I already knew the snap was going to happen, and that I was going to disappear, along with Stephen, Peter, Quill, Drax, and Mantis. Everyone else found a place to hide except for me. I hugged Stephen and then ran to hide, as I could feel Thanos coming. He appeared right where I was before and then talked to Stephen. Then Tony came in and then the whole plan happened. It backfired, just like it needed to for Thanos to get the Time Stone. I see Tony get stabbed in the abdomen and then Stephen traded the stone for Tony's life. Thanos left and I rushed to Stephen's side. Tony looked questioning but didnt say anything. Peter started walking towards Tony and started talking about something, probably names. "Hey, you ok?" I ask. Stephen nods. I see him in pain almost everytime he moved. "No you arent." I sigh. "Okay, I'm not. I probably have a broken ribcage, broken arm, and probably a broken ankle." Stephen says. I feel his torso and confirm his theory of a broken ribcage and his arm and ankle by how they look. I suddenly feel weird, and knew that Thanos snapped. "Stephen, goodbye." I whisper. He does the unexpected, grabbing my face and kissing me. I kiss back as I feel the pain of being ripped into pieces happening over and over again. We break the kiss and Peter starts stumbling over to Tony. I move towards Tony as well but my foot slowed me down, as it had dissolved. Peter completely disappered and I grabbed Tony's shoulder, hugging him. "I love you, Tony. Goodbye for now. Not forever, just, for now." I say. (This is like a family love, mind you. Like, Tony is a father figure to Percy.) Tony looks at me with wide eyes and sees my leg. "Yours is happening much slower. Wait, Strange?!?" Tony see Stephen dissolving. I wave to him and he waves back. "Its the endgame now, Tony. There was no other way." Stephen says. My arms had started dissolving and I had fallen. I smile at Tony sadly and then completely disappear. My soul came out of my body and I spot Stephen floating around, along with Peter. I see Tony crying and Nebula walk over to him. "I may have a, friend, who can help us. As souls, can we pop into different places? Oh, and if we can, I have a place I want to check first." I say. Stephen just opens a portal and closes it, probably testing to see if he still was able to. "Where to?" Stephen asks with a smile. "45 Voltage St, New York." I say. He opens a portal and I see the resturant. I walk through and see Leo crying and I go over to him. He couldnt see me but I could hear him mumbling. "Calypso, what happened? Did I do something? What did I do?" I set a hand on his shoulder, suprisingly, he felt it. He looked around and didnt see anyone but I could tell he still felt it. "Stephen, Peter, can you go look for a girl with auburn hair and blue? eyes, please." I say. "Who the hell, it sounds like Percy but no ond is here." Leo said. "Because Leo, it is Percy. You can somehow hear me and feel. I don't pass straight through you." I say. "I found her!" Stephen yelled. I grab Leo's hand and suddenly, he yells. "Percy! I can see you!" I make it to Stephen and Leo sees Calypso floating around. They hug and Stephen looks confused for a bit. "Calypso. Do you know what happened? Why you, dissolved?" Leo asked. She shook her head and I sighed. I look at Stephen and he nods. "Leo, Calypso, can you go to Camp and see if anyone else from the Seven is still, well, alive?" I ask. Leo nods and runs out, Calypso following him, just floating instead of running. "I want to see if Steve is still alive." I say. Stephen thinks and then opens a portal. It opened to a place I knew well. Wakanda. Tony took me with him once with Mom's permission and I met Shuri. I see wreckage and knew this was where the real battle was fought. I see so many souls that were wandering around aimlessly. I hear someone calling out for Falcon and head in their direction. It aas Rhodey, Tony's best friend. I see Bruce, Steve, and Thor, along with Okoye. They were alive, but Sam probably dissolved. "T'Challa, no. Thor, what happened?" Okoye asked the god. "The snap. He wiped out half the universe. Including our friends, your king, one of our birds, Wanda, and so forth." I see T'Challa's soul and float over to him. "T'Challa!" I exclaim. "Percy?" He turns around and faces me. "What are you doing here? Wait, you disappeared into dust too, didnt you." T'Challa said sadly. I nod and see Stephen talking to some of the souls and Peter wandering around. I see Wanda crying and walk over to her. "Wanda, right? Everything is gonna be okay, alright? Here, let me show you something." I hold my hand out to her and she hesitantly grabbed it. "Stephen, I'm going to a pond!" I yell, startling everyone. Thor looked around and Steve looked at him with concern. It seemed that Thor could hear me. "Thor, you aren't going crazy, trust me. You can just somehow hear me." I say. Thor looked confused. "You sound so close but I can't see you. Why?" He asked. Everyone looked at him crazily now, like he was going insane. "I'm a soul. My body disappeared. Everyone that dissolved is floating around and can hear everything you say. Sam ia standing next to Rhodney, Wanda is next to me, T'Challa is next to Okoye, and Bucky is next to Steve." I tell Thor. I walk right in front of him and Bucky backs away slightly. "I am trying to find Thanatos to give me my body along with a friend of mine's back." I say. He scrambles back at how close my voice was to him. Steve backs away from him and everyone follows his example. "Don't scare Thor, Percy. Its not very nice you know." Bucky says. Steve's eyes widen. Thor's head whips in Bucky's direction. "That's Bucky's voice." Steve whispers. "I'm right next to you all the way, Stevie. I may be a soul, but I'm still here." Bucky says. Steve turns in the direction of his friend's voice and looks around sadly, unable to see him. I touch his forehead and he gasps, for I somehow gave him the ability to see the souls. "Oh dear god, there's so many." Steve whispers sadly. Bucky looks at me in suprise. "He can see us. How'd you do it?" Bucky asks. I shrug. I remember the pond thing and then go to leave when I hear a quiet groan and plead for help. No one else seemed to hear it except me. "Help. Help me, please. I'm trapped." A quiet voice said. I rush over to the source and see a pile a concrete slabs. Someone was under them. I quickly do my best to lift them but I kept passing through them. "Thor!!" I yell frantically. The god of thunder rushes over to me. He sees what I was trying to do and completed the task for me. Underneath was Natasha, the Black Widow. "Natasha!" Thor yells, picking her up bridal style. "I have to find Clint!" I yell. I float up into the sky and look down at the wreckage. I see a bow and then some arrows in a small clearing and fly down to them. I then turn around and see Clint lying on the ground, immoblized. I see some blood seeping from his arm and his chest, not too much, thankfully. "Steve! Steve!" I yell. I hear running and Steve breaks through the trees to see his teammate lying on the ground. "He's still alive." I say. Steve picks him up and runs toward where he came from. "Thanatos, please, come to me. I need to speak to you in person." I whisper. I feel a presence behind me and turn around to face the God of Death. "Hello. Thank you. I have a question." I say. "What is it? Make it quick because I have all of these souls to get to the Underworld." Thanatos says. "Thats the thing. Could you possibly not take away Wanda, Stephen, James, Peter, me, Quill, Groot, Drax, Mantis, Sam, T'Challa, and could you bring back Gamora and Loki as well? Also give the people I named their body back?" I ask. Thanatos looked at me like I was crazy but then looked at his tablet with a smile. He started swiping and scrolling and then I felt a wierd feeling. I look down. I had my body back! "Percy! Where are you?" I hear Stephen call. "Over here!" I say. He comes through the woods and sees the God of Death. He looks wierdly at his wings and the tablet while walking over to me. Thanatos looked up from his tablet. "Hello Stephen Strange." Thanatos said. Stephen jumped back. "How do you know my name?" Stephen asked. "I know everyone's name. Its my job." Thanatos says. He looks at me. "You should teach him how to respect a god, but I like his attitude. He ask questions first." Thanatos says with a smile. "I know." I reply, kissing Stephen on the cheek. Thanatos smiles. "I always knew you were one for men, Perseus." Stephen hadnt noticed that he got his body back and the cloak was making him float. "Stephen, you have your body back, you know." I say. He looked down and laughed. "Thank you, Thanatos. Without you, I wouldnt have my body back and neither would the Avengers that dissolved into dust." I say. "Thank you, Percy. You gave me something to do other than run from Thanos. He's trying to court me. How horrifiying is that?" Thanatos says. He smiles and then motions for me to turn around. I flip Stephen around and then do the same to myself. "Stay and dont look back until I say or else you are dead again." I whisper. I feel Thanatos leave and turn around. "Youre good." I tell Stephen. "Who was that? And how did he just disappear?" Stephen asked. "He's a god, Stephen. The Greek God of Death. No, not Hades. He's the god of the Underworld. That was Thanatos, not Thanos, Than-AT-os." I say, emphasizing the 'at' is Thanatos. Stephen looked confused but didnt say anything. I hear shouts of happiness and alarm at the same time. "They got their bodies back, grab Peter and lets get back to Tony." I say. Stephen opens a portal and grabs Peter through it. He then opens another portal and I run through it and onto a ship I dont recognize. I hear someone crying and walk through a doorway silently. I see Tony sitting down in front of a broken Iron-Man helmet. He then wipes his eyes and starts recording something in the video log. He started talking about Steve and tears started streaming down my face. "When I drift off, I will dream about you." He says. I walk ouf from the doorway. "What about me?" I ask. His breathing hitched and he ended the video. "Percy? What, how?!? If you're back, is Stephen? Is Peter? Quill?" Tony fires question after question until I stop him and nod. He finally breaks down into tears. I hear a few crashes and then yelling. "Gamora!!!" Quill yells. "I-I don't understand. I was dead!" Gamora yells. I run to where she was. "Gamora, calm down. I was able to bring you back to help fight Thanos once again. He snapped and everyone except two people on this ship disappeared. I just need to find Loki." I say. When I say that, I feel someone appear next to me. I turn and see Loki. He hugs me suprisingly. "Thank you so much, Perseus." He says. I hug back and smile at him. "You're welcome. I was just helping. Now, go see your brother. I know he misses you." I say. Loki's eyes sparkle and he disappears. Stephen appears behind me and wraps his arms around me. "You're alive!" Quill says to the two of us. I smile. "Tony, Peter, and everyone else is too." I say. Quill brightens and then runs around the ship frantically, trying to find his friends. Peter walks by me and I look at him. "I haven't seen Tony. Is he," Peter trails off. I shake my head and he brightens. I lead him towards Tony and Peter hugs him. Tony looks at me with tears. "I still can't believe that you are back." Tony says. "I don't know how I'm back." Peter says. I look at the ceiling and whistle, walking away. Suddenly, I was pulled back by my collar. "Shit." I say. Tony turns me around and places his hand on my shoulders. "How?" He asks. I look at Stephen, who was watching the scene with curiousness and worriedness. Was he curious as to what would happen to me but also worried about what would happen to me? "Uhhhh. A, friend if you could say that, owed me a favor for saving his rear. He gave passes to people, and gave their bodies back to them." I say. Tony thinks about who I might be talking about, then I see him remember Thanatos and that quest to Alaska. "You didn't. Tell me you didn't make a deal with Death." Tony says. "I didn't make a deal. I just asked. He did it happily, especially after I kissed Stephen on the cheek." I say. Tony sighs. "Okay, good. When did, this, happen?" He asks, motioning to both of us. Stephen had wrapped his arms around me again and placed his head on my shoulder. "The dusting, or a little before. I'm not necessarily sure." I say, looking at Stephen. "I mean, I knew this would happen since I saw you bump into Stephen, I just didn't know when. I saw you blushing and he was blushing a bit as well, but was hiding it better." Tony says. My face heats up and I look away. "I started blushing after a thought of, 'He looks kinda adorable when he blushes.'" Stephen says. It made me blush even more and I just laid my head against Stephen's. "I'm tired, catch me." I say, falling. Stephen quickly catches me, laughing. He lifts me up bridal style and I snuggle into his chest. Tony laughs and I slowly fall asleep, being pulled in by Stephen's warmth. I feel the cloak be put on top of me as I drift off.
