Harry plays with his Quidditch figures on the little plastic set he has. It's accurate for the field and the players fly on their own like little magic Lego men. Snape looks up from his Potions textbook when there's a knock at the door. "Harry, go change out your jammies. Ron is here,"

"No," Harry keeps playing.

"You know your rule," his Daddy reminds. The rule is that Harry can stay in his jammies all the time but must change into big boy clothes when going outside or they have a visitor.

"No! I like my jammies!"

"Or I could just tell Ron to go away," Snake casually turns a page in his book, not even looking up as Harry squeals and stands up.

"I gonna go change!" He rushes into his room and comes out wearing a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. He can put the jean on by himself as the waistband is elastic and the crotch is fake. Snape opens the door.

"Ron, hello," he nods. "You're here to teach Harry Wizard's Chess?"

"Yeah, Professor Snape," Ron nods. "We're gonna have a good time, right Harry?" He smiles, taking off his winter clothes.

"One thing," Snape speaks lowly to him. "Watch the language. Harry's been acting out and I don't want him repeating anything,"

"Got it," Ron winks. Snape hurries off and leaves Ron with Harry.

"Hello little man," Ron kneels on the floor with Harry. "Do you have your Wizard's Chess set?"

"Yeah!" Harry squeals. He's been wanting to learn how to play for forever. Since he turned 6 not too long ago, Daddy decided he can learn to play properly and of course, the Master of Chess is his tutor. He doesn't have his memories from before the Vulnerability Charm, but he subconsciously knows and respects Ron's skill from their adventure to find the Philosopher's Stone. He pulls out his chess set and Ron helps him line up the players.

"Okay Harry, let's see what you know already," Ron points to one. "What's this piece?"

It's the little castle, Harry smiles. He likes the little castle. "The rook!"

"Yes, well done!" Ron grins. "And this one?"

Horsey! "The knight!"

"Right again!" Ron snaps his fingers and they go through naming all the pieces, Snape working meanwhile in his study. Well I say 'working', he's reading The Dispossessed because he has the guilty pleasure of indulging in fiction, usually sci-fi. He likes Muggle apocalypse stories because magic could fix so many of their problems.

At the end of the lesson, Ron claps his hands. "Okay Harry, let's try a turn! Who moves first?"

"White!" Harry recounts and Ron moves his central pawn two squares ahead. Harry does the same with his central pawn.

Ron tried deviously to trick him and moves the pawn 1 to the right forward twice. Harry's too smart for that and goes in for a diagonal take. Harry's pawn draws its sword and cuts down the other, which crumbles. "Ah shit!" Ron whispers. "Well done, Harry! That was great!"

Harry giggles as Ron stands up. "Goin' already?" He pouts. He always has fun with Ron.

"Sorry mate, I have more work to do. It is 3rd year after all," Ron grins. "And besides, aren't you starting that kids flying club thing today?"

"The Slytherin Beginner's League," Snape confirms, emerging from his study and leaning against the doorway. "It's essentially a pre-flying club for kids age 5-10. It teaches the basics of Quidditch just without the actual flying,"

"So like LARPing?" Ron chuckles. "That sounds terrible. Whatever, have fun Harry!!"

After Ron leaves, Snape kneels by his son, helping him put away the chess set. "Are you excited to start playing Quidditch? I know Ron didn't make it sound fun. But if you don't like it, we can find you something even better!"

Harry nods. "If it's shit, can I try Muggle soccer?"

"Yes, you-" Snape narrows his eyes, glaring down at Harry. "What did you just say?"

Harry, realising his mistake, claps his hands over his mouth. "Ron said it!"

Snape sighs, crossing his arms over his chest. "Bloody Ron," he grumbles.

"Bloody Ron!" Harry repeats with a grin. Snape just sighs, scowling at Harry but too tired to actually be angry with him.

"Just go and get ready,"
