On This Day

I woke up to the sound of dishes being washed and music playing loudly through out the house.

Are you kidding me?

Not one day..huh?

I tried to press my pillow over my face to block some of the sound out….

But that didn't work at all….

I threw my pillow off the bed….and stretched.

I rubbed my eyes and took a minute to properly wake up.

I grabbed my phone and went on twitter

It was kind of nice seeing all the sweet messages and tweets I get from fans….

I thought it was so sweet and cute at how excited they when I follow them….

They kind of make everything okay for a bit.

*knock on the door*

“Shawn!?.....you up!?”

“I am now….”

“Sorry doing a bit of cleaning up before we leave…”

“Where are you going?”

“Oh, rose needs us to pick up a few things before the get together.”

“Oh,crap right I forgot about that.”

“Can I come in!?”

“Yeah, hold on a second.”

I got up walked to the door and opened it

“What's up?”

“Shawn…..are you sure you won't come? Everyone is really looking forward to seeing you...its been so long”

“I know…..I know..its just…..I….”

“I know Shawn….”

Every fiber of my being was telling me not to go but I knew how bad my mother wanted me there.

“You know…...umm…..I'll go mom….for you.”

Her face lit up like she won the lottery ...

I know she worries about me always wanting to be alone….

I know she wants me to start going out and doing things again …..

And to actually have fun.

“Really!!!???”

“Yeah,I'll go…”

“Oh my gosh, honey I'm so happy ….I'll go call rose….you know honey this could be good for you.”

“I know mom…”

I honestly didn't believe this could be good for me at all….in any way shape or form.

But its been awhile since I've seen my mom so happy.

I gt up and got dressed…

I walked into the kitchen and heard my mom on the phone…..

“Yeah, he said he's really going…”

….

“Yeah, I know this could be so good for him...you know go out and have some fun..”

….

“Sometimes I wish he would try to find someone else ya know…..maybe it'll make him happier...I think Gen would want that ...you know for him to be happy again….and not always be so sad thinking about what he could've done..”
