"I don't wanna go!" I yelled

"Well, you have to. School and education is very important especially as a 17 year old girl" my mom replied

"But its a new school and I have no friends! I'm gonna be the loner at lunch and in all my other classes!"

"Why couldn't we have stayed in New York"

"Because I got a better job here. Now stop complaining and get ready for school!" My mom yelled at me

I sighed and walked to my room. My new house is not that different from my old one, except it's actually in a nice neighborhood. You see, my mom got a job here in California and was forced to move here, I mean it's not that bad here, except that I have no friends here because they're all in New York, where I'm from.

I've never had a boyfriend, sad I know but I don't really care even though my mom always say I should get one but no boy has ever caught my eye, I mean they're all a bunch of losers that listen to trash music, dress like their clothes are gonna fall if they move their legs and are a bunch of players.

My dad left when I was 7, he cheated on my mom but she's an independent woman and moved on right away, love her. I'm an only child, sadly, and I'm not very social so school should be amazing.

"Hurry up you're gonna be late!" My mom honked on the car horn

"I'm coming"

I got in and started playing "loving is easy" by Rex Orange County, a personal fav

"Loving is easy, you had me fucked up" I sang

"Hey! Watch your language" my mom yelled through the music

"Sorry"

I just sang the rest of the way until we made it to school, which is now in view
