"Are you really going to drink your life away?" I glanced at Jamie before looking back at my glass of wine and taking a sip.
"I'm not drinking my life away," I muttered.
"Explain the two wine bottles." He gestured towards the empty and half-empty wine bottles on the table next to me.
"I'm not drinking my life away," I growled before taking another sip.
"Then prove it." Jamie had walked over to me and took my near empty wine glass, setting it on the table. "Stop drinking."
I gritted my teeth, glaring at him.
"You may not like it, but you need to stop." Jamie's voice was calm, annoying me to no end. "It's also underaged drinking and I do not give you my consent."
You do not command me!
I wanted to say my thought, but instead said, "Okay."
He stepped back, allowing me to get up, but I made no move to do so. "Are you-"
"I need help," I admitted, the alcohol caused my pride to lessen and my balance to become unstable.
Jamie sighed in amusement before he walked back to me, helping me up. The room spun, and I gripped onto him for support. The walk to my room felt like a long trek, and when I finally reached my bed, I collapsed onto it. I had no energy to move into a comfortable position or to change into more comfortable clothing. Jamie moved me a bit, before draping a thin sheet over me.
"I'll let your wolves in," Jamie said opening the door, the three wolves jumping onto my bed, snuggling against me. Shutting my eyes, I heard Jamie turn off the light and shut the door.
I sighed as I snuggled closer to King, with Chase laying on my legs and Remy's body pressed up against my back.
"Sleep well, boys." I murmured, each of them making a quiet sound of acknowledgment before we all fell asleep.

When my alarm went off, I jolted awake and the wolves jumped off the bed and skillfully opened the door, shutting it behind them. Shaking my head in amusement, I got up and dressed for the day.
Chase eagerly paced while Remy sat with a gleam Of excitement in his eyes. King was far less enthusiastic about their walk. He preferred to be free, and when we went on walks I always put their collars and harnesses on before attaching a leash to them.
Chase wouldn't hold still, but I managed to put the collar on. Remy was far more cooperative and held still the entire time. King was being difficult, refusing to hold still and growling when I tried to put it on him.
"The longer it takes for me to put this on, the less time you have for our walk," I said, moving a bit closer.
They're still wild animals.
I reminded myself. King narrowed his eyes, ears flat in irritation as I put the collar and harness on.
I had them color coded. King was red, Chase was a creamy brown, and Remy was green. I always tried to get them things that matched their colors. Collars, harnesses, bowls, leashes, and a few toys.
As we were walking, I made sure King was near me when we passed others seeing as he was the most aggressive out of the three. I had to pull Chase back a bit, knowing that in his energetic haze he could accidentally hurt someone. Remy, I trusted around others. He was either gentle or fearful in the presence of others unless they were a threat to me.
I passed by someone and froze in my place. I could feel the man's unwavering gaze burning into me. He was looking directly at me.
Turning I met his gaze. His eyes were brown and he had dark brown hair, sporting quite a few scars on his face. He wore a black trench coat and gloves. I narrowed my eyes in both confusion and distrust.
Why isn't he moving? Why is he just staring at me?
Suddenly, the man turned and disappeared into the nearest alleyway. King growled, Chase's fur was bristling, and Remy was tense.
They didn't like his presence.
I turned and they followed me, sticking close by, their thick fur brushing against my legs.

"I didn't think I'd see you around here." Andrew's calm voice sounded from the park bench.
I gritted my teeth together in annoyance. "It's a park, plenty of people come here. Besides, I'm walking my wolves."
"Dangerous beasts, aren't they?" His eyes were full of glee, clearly, he was amused. "Just like their owner."
"I can show you dangerous." I snapped. "And they're not beasts."
"They're wild animals, not dogs that can be tamed." He narrowed his eyes. "They will turn on you one day, so why not kill them and get it over with." He stepped closer, King intercepting him, a deep growl rumbling in his throat. "And I suggest you keep them under control, less you want them to be put down for attacking an innocent citizen."
"Stop playing the victim," I growled. "You're not innocent either."
He shrugged, before standing up and beginning to walk away before he stopped. Turning to look at me, he smirked. "I suggest you stop trying to dig into my past," His eyes darkened with twisted amusement. "You wouldn't want something to happen to someone you care about, right? I have eyes and ears everywhere, Violet Wolfe."
I wanted to kill him. I wanted to kill someone. I wanted to feel his warm blood on me, dripping off my hands. Shaking my head from the thoughts, I saw that he had left.
Damn him.
