Dean surprisingly let's sam drive, and cas sits in the passenger seat, Dean sits in the back, Kayla's laying across the seat her head resting in dean's lap, they pull up to the bunker, dean carries her to his room and sets her on the bed "Cas.....we need to know what's wrong so we can fix it" cas nods and goes to get some books, he comes back a couple hours later to see dean sitting next to her bed, "why didn't I protect you?" Cas comes in "I found something.....if an angel gets possessed by another angel they can rejoice them and lock them out, when they do they send them back to they're previous vessel" dean looks at the floor "Lucifer is still alive, his vessel is in hell, he's gonna come looking for her" Cas nods "we need archangel grace to give her because she is low on her own"

Dean looks up and cas "Gabriel" cas leaves to go find Gabriel, dean wraps his hand around Kayla's and doesn't let go "i was supposed to protect you...I told you I would"

(Flashback)

Dean looks up at the sky while next to Sam "angels......they're falling" sam looks up at all the angels crashing down, dean puts sam in the car, they're driving down the road, but they come to a stop when they see a woman right in the middle of the crossroads "an angel" dean gets out, the woman is laying in the middle of the four connected roads, she lays on her back, her eyes closed, her arms scratched and same on her legs "we have to help her" while dean speaks the angel sits up "w-where am I?" Dean turns to her "your on earth" her eyes widen "no...no" dean raises his eyebrow "what?" She look over at him and stumbles to get up "I-i have to find Gabriel!" Dean and sam both look at her "Gabriel?" She looks over at them "how do you know my brother!"

Her eyes glow and the lighting strikes, her giant wings appear behind her "where is my brother!?" Dean gasps at the sight of her wings "w-we don't know....was he in heaven?" She nods "then he probably fell, along with all the other angels?" She gasps, "if all angels are on earth....they are able to find me....kill me" the girl keeps backing up "Gabriel will protect me...from them" dean walks up to her "we will protect you....what's your name?" She backs up form him "Kayla....Kayla the archangel" dean looks back at sam, then back at her "your an archangel?" She nods "I'm an abomination....but heaven doesn't know I'm alive.....promise you'll protect me?"

Dean nods slowly "I promise"

He was staring at the wall, not even noticing sam yelling his name from right in front of him "dean!" He jumps a little "what?" Sam comes up to him "we have to find Gabriel" sam started "he would be the only archangel willing or give some grace" dean nods and sits in the end of the bed and closes his eyes "Gabriel?....are you there?....Kayla is hurt....so get your feathery ass down here" he open his eyes "I don't think it wor-" Gabriel shows up in the corner of the room "how did this happen?!" He runs up to her "Kayla!...Kayla?!" Cas runs in the room and sees Gabriel, "sister...please!" He puts his head on her chest, cas comes up and pulls him off, Gabriel starts crying "what did you do to her?!" Sam looks at dean, knowing that he won't be the one to tell him "when Lucifer possessed her, he became weak for a moment and she overpowered him and "kicked him out" and we found her where she first fell to earth, she hasn't Woken up since" Cas looks at Gabriel "Gabriel....she's dying" he turns around "DON'T say that to me!" Cas backs up, Gabriel sits with her and holds her hand
Dean runs to the bathroom, he slams the door, his hands grip onto the sides of the sink, he looks up in the mirror, his breaths becoming ragged and started to sound like growls, he punches the mirror and all the shards of glass fall to the floor, dean's back slams against the wall and he holds his bleeding hand, sam runs in "dean?!" He looks at dean, dean's lost in his own thought, not hearing sam, sam grabs his brothers arm and pulls him with him, sam pushes dean back in one of the chairs and wraps his hand up "dean she'll be fine" dean gets up and runs to her room, he orders Gabriel and cas out, they leave and dean sits next to her "I'll protect you" his voice turns to a whisper as his head falls down

"I promise"
