Brielle lived alone in a small apartment, surrounded by the comfort of her massive amount of things.
She hadn't been outside much since she moved out of her parents home, they hadn't talked to her...
I immediately jumped when there was a pound at the door.
"Who the hell knocks like that?" I whimper, shaking slightly from fear.
I held my bat securely behind my back, I was not opening this door without comfort. I walked toward my front door, I shuffled slightly uncomfortable but I sighed and opened the door.
"Hello my name is..." The man paused, he looked at me in awe.
"Your name is?" I stammered, my voice extremely low due to shyness.
"Excuse me, sorry, My name is Stephen Field." He said, I nodded trying to avoid his eyes which were captivating.
"How can I help you?" I questioned once again in a soft voice, I really hated confrontation.
"Unknown to most here. I am the new landlord and owner of this building. Since I am new, I am requiring everyone to start a fresh lease with me, that way I can get a feel and understanding of my tenants." Stephen said, I nodded listening closely to how he spoke.
"When must I sign?" I inquired softly, I wasn't use to this.
"I have a copy with me now, I am personally introducing myself to everyone in the building for a better relationship." He replied, as if it was the simplest thing in the world.
It wasn't, the previous owner and landlord did everything in his power to avoid my apartnent—he found it creepy. Yet he never kicked me out, since I was paying extra towards rent every month.
"Okay." I agreed, then almost smacked myself when I realized what this meant.
"So. I may come in? I can come back if needed." He questioned, the panic was real now.
