We stepped off the warp pad and started to head towards the barn. Muffled yelling is heard and we can soon see that lapis had all the rubies trapped.
"Uh oh...I'll call the others"
Steven sighs and pulls out his phone.
Peri pushes me into the barn
"Sorry Wolfie but...you'll need to shapeshift! I don't want them to take you away."
I denied but she begged and begged until I was forced to agree, shapeshifting into a normal Ruby.
I walk out with her and the gems are already there.
They start to innterogate the rubies, one by one. Only the one steven referred to as doc gave us answers.
They nagged and threatened all because of the little white lie steven had told. I sigh, ready to interfere but a forced gruff voice interrupts.
Amethyst?
•••Loading your time skip•••! Complete!•••
Without a second thought, Amethyst had passed us off as her prisoners and put us in the ship, leaving lapis and Peri behind. I sigh and lie my head on the wall of the ship, uncomfortable with my shapeshifted form. Pearl looks over.
"Are you okay, Red?"
I look at her and sigh
"I'm fi-!.."
Suddenly, my brain drowns itself in its own thoughts,
"Pink! Is this...your?..."
She nods at me excitedly and hugs her Pearl tightly. I sigh and look away.
Nothing could replace her. How was she over it so quickly?
"Are you okay, Red Diamond?"
Her pearl looked at me with slight concern and a small smile.
"I'm fine. Don't worry."
I shake my head, no way.
It isn't her.
It couldn't be!
I just...I just can't be sure.
But,...That voice! Those eyes! Her gem!
"Earth to Red?? You in there?"
She taps my shoulder lightly and I jolt awake from my daze.
"I'm fine..."
