calamities; thirty-one

you were a disaster,
a natural one at that.

movements like an earthquake,
leaving everything broken in your wake.

emotions like a tornado,
spinning everything around and around
until you've had your release.

thoughts like a storm,
scaring me with your sharp as lightning wit
and your thunderous accusations.

and tears like a volcano,
hot and ever-flowing,
running down your reddened cheeks.

you always frightened me,
but i ran back to your calamity anyways.
