"Someday I wish upon a star and wake up where the clouds are far behind me... where troubles melt like lemon drops, high above the chimney tops that's where you'll find me... somewhere over the rainbow, bluebirds fly... birds fly over the rainbow, why oh why can't I?" Ariana Grande-Butera

"Where are they?!" Tommy shouted as he ran through the hospital doors, still covered in the mud and clay from the tunnel. Hearing the urgency in his voice, the nurses simply pointed to the room where Gia and his sister were being treated, the soldier bursting through the doors hard enough to rip them off its hinges.

"Giorgia's in recovery, Tom. She had surgery," Arthur told his brother, his face turning into a frown when he saw his sister battered and bruised lay in the bed in front of him.

Towering over her, Tommy took his sister's hand in his own. "Why the fuck did you do that, Ada?"

With a smirk playing on her cut lips, she chuckled, "someone had too."

"You're fucking stupid, Ada," Tommy told her.

"Did you not learn this growing up?" Arthur asked.

"I knew where she was so I went to get her, a thank you wouldn't go amiss," she scoffed, wincing in pain from her broken ribs.

Not wanting an argument after the stressful forty-eight hours he'd had, he simply leaned down and pressed a kiss to his sister's forehead. "Don't you ever do that again," he warned her but was cut off when Charlie came bounding in for his aunt.

"Aunty Ada!" He shouted, scrambling through his uncles and father to get to her. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine," she smiled lightly, "I'll read you a book yeah?"

Smiling at the relationship his sister and son had, he was snapped out of his trance by Polly putting her hand on his arm. "Thomas, a word."

Leaving his son in the capable arms of his sister, Tommy followed his aunt out. "Ada was raped," she told him, and if he had any fight left in him he would have kicked off, but he was so exhausted he just looked to the floor instead.

Not only was his girlfriend in surgery fighting for her life, but his sister had also become a consequence of that goddamn priest too. "He's dead?"

Nodding, Polly replied, "Michael killed him."

"Alright," Tommy rubbed his eyes, "I need to see Giorgia but I'll make this right, Pol. I will."

"I know," she agreed, "go and be with your girls."

Nervous, Tommy asked the daunting question. "Is she still -"

"Yes," Polly smiled, "both baby and Giorgia are fine."

Feeling a wave of relief, Tommy let a tear fall at the news. The whole time they were gone he had been dreaming about his little girl and what she would look like, whether she would be Giorgia's double or his own. It didn't matter to him, he was grateful nonetheless.

Hearing others join them in the hallway, Tommy looked past his aunt to see doctors wheeling a very pregnant Giorgia through to a separate room. Noticing the look on his face, Polly pushed him a little. "Go," she giggled, "go and be with your Mrs."

Doing so, Tommy nervously walked into the room Giorgia was in and was instantly met with the worst sight Tommy ever imagined.

She almost looked unrecognisable but still so... perfect. "Giorgia," Tommy breathed, taking her small hand in his and breaking down, all his walls crumbling and every inch of vulnerability and fear making an appearance. Putting his free hand on her bump, he took a sigh of relief.
