Third Person’s POV

Emma immediately ran and stopped in front of him “where? What’s wrong?”

“Mom…” he looked at her “I’ll be right back” he kissed her forehead, nervously

“What? No! I’m coming with you!”

“No, you have to stay here and relax, I don’t want you stressed” He whispered

“And I don’t want you to go there alone!” she replied

“Emma,” he held her face “I can do it”

She sadly looked at him “I’m not doubting you, baby, I never did! It’s everyone else I’m afraid of! What is happening anyway?!”

“My boss says… my fath… Howard, found out about them and…” he shut his eyes tightly “I need to go”

“Robert, please lemme go with you”

“I can go and help in whatever is needed” Mr. Ray offered himself

“See? We can go!” Emma insisted

“Please… let me go” Robert begged “You have to be here, calm and not stressed” he said, turning around to Mr. Ray “Don’t you agree? Stay here with her”

“Oh, no, don’t get outside help in an argument, cheater!” Emma snapped, holding his collars, her jitters growing

“Emma… let me go, I can do this. It’s ok, I’m just going to get her, ok?” he looked at her, those irresistible eyes seducing her soul

“Don’t you get I will stress here, anyway?!” she said, suddenly irritated “Those eyes are not going to win, this time…. You…AH, ROBERT HUNTER, come back here, NOW!” she yelled as she saw him walking out the door, with a simple kiss in her forehead.

“Honey…” he father approached her “Calm down…”

“If you defend him and his lunatic mind then why are you worrying so much?” Mrs. Ray couldn’t have chosen a worse time to speak those words.

“I am seriously getting tired of your attitude!” she yelled “IF YOU ARE NOT OK HERE, YOU ARE FREE TO GO!” she yelled “CAUSE I AM NOT GOING TO LEAVE HIM, WHETHER YOU LIKE HIM OR NOT!”

Her father tried to hold her and calm her down, but she already had her finger pointed to her mother’s face “And you, MOMMA, are lucky that all he wants is to make things perfect, all he wants is for you to like him, because otherwise, oh let me tell you lady, he would have scolded you already”

“Princess, calm down” her father hugged her “This is not good for the baby”

Mrs. Ray kept her cool only standing up and looking back at her daughter “I’ve always did everything for you, all I want is for you to be happy. And I can’t possibly see how you are so happy with someone like him. He looks like a lost puppy…”

“…who is constantly asking if I am alright, who is constantly calling and checking up on me, who is constantly thinking about the tiniest detail of everything to make sure it will all be ok and nothing will be wrong, who will spend the entire night up when we argue, scared and unsure that he might not be good enough for me, and who is totally panicked because this child might, indeed, have a mental disorder. Panicked, that he might not be a good father. Panicked, that things will not be perfect” she broke down “And ALL YOU DO is bring him down even more! Right when he’s starting to get confident you stab his mind with a mad stare and harsh comment! Can’t you just give him a break?!”

“Emma…” her father was in the middle of both ladies, and when Mrs. Ray didn’t reply to those words, she took a deep breath and turned to her father, wiping her tears away.
