 Cleo's POV:

" Impulse is a baby now?" I whispered as Zedaph let go of Tango's hand and walked over to me. I noticed that he had small bags under his eyes. Zedaph leaned over that crib, " More like a toddler..." he mouthed as he put his hand into the crib. Impulse sniffed the air and gently grasped Zedaph's hand.

I looked between the two, " How did this happen?" I asked as I leaned over the crib as well. Zedaph thought for a moment. His eyes focused on Impulse, " I started to get this closing feeling in my throat. " he started as he grabbed at his throat, " When I could feel again... I couldn't talk." he frowned as he rubbed his throat.

" Are you okay now?" I asked him as he nodded. Zedaph looked at me, " I can handle not speaking." he shrugged his shoulders with a small smirk.

" What about Impulse? " I looked down at the sleeping little hermit, " What caused this?" I stood up fully as Zedaph handed Impulse a plush creeper and stood up fully as well.

Zedaph walked over to the bed next to the crib. He looked at the sleeping Impulse, who was now letting out little cooing noises are he snuggled the plush. Zedaph motioned for me to sit down next to him.

I sat down as Zedaph started to 'talk', " Impulse was saying that his memory was failing him." he started as he pulled a blanket around himself.

" It wasn't even a moment later, and Impulse started to get shorter until what was left was the toddler you see if that crib this evening, yet he was swimming in Impulse's normal clothes." Zedaph shook his head.

I let out a yawn, " That must've been awful for the both of you." I sighed as Zedaph nodded. He looked over at the crib, " It was.... Impulse was crying, and I couldn't figure out why. " he let out a sigh, " I ended up holding him for a long time before he fell asleep in my arms." he looked back over at me.

Zedaph laid down, " I'm just glad that he calmed down." he stared at the ceiling, " You all should probably go to bed before Joe wakes up. We can discuss what happened to Doc, Ren, Mumbo, and Grian tomorrow." he yawned as he covered himself up with his blanket.

I stood up and walked by each person's bed. Ren was curled up on top of a shivering Doc; his tail wagging as the two slept.

Tango was no different then before, so that was maybe a good thing. He let out a soft cough as he buried himself further under the blanket.

Stress was still awake and sitting up in her bed, " Are you okay?" I asked as I sat down in the bed next to hers. She looked at me sadly, " Not really. I finally got Mumbo to calm down and sleep." she sighed, " Anything else bothering you?" I asked as she looked at me with growing fear in her eyes.

" What will happen if we end up with this weird curse or sickness ourselves?" she asked as I stood still. I stood up and put my hand on her shoulder.

" I don't know." I admitted as we both sighed. I looked her in the eyes, " For right now we both need sleep." I gave her a hug as she nodded and laid down. I watched her for a couple of minutes before I was certain she was asleep.

 I continued to look around.

Mumbo was asleep just as Stress had told me.

Iskall was sound asleep and a small smile had formed on his face.

Grian was asleep as well, and his blanket was covering his face.

I looked around. Everyone was asleep except for Joe, who know had his red eye opened. He noticed me being awake, and a small smirk formed on his face.

" Hello Lady Cleo." he bowed his head as I walked over to his cage, " What do you want.... Joe?" I asked as Joe leaned his head back, " I want to harm you guys, but the good side to us had other ideas." he looked down at his bandaged leg.

Joe opened his inventory and pulled out a glass vial with his mouth, " 'Ere." he placed the bottle on the ground and rolled it over to me.

" What is this?" I questioned as the red haze in Evil Joe's eyes grew brighter, " A potion that your Joe made up to heal Grian's ailment." he looked towards Grian.

Evil Joe yawned, " The 'curse' put on Grian as everyone put it was a simple poison of cave and normal spider venom mixed with some pufferfish spikes." he explained with a smug grin.

" How do you know?" I asked as he let out a low laugh, " I made the thing dumba- !" I shot a thorn out of my hand, and it struck him in his leg. Joe growled as I gave him a smirk, " So, you made it." I shrugged my shoulders.

" What's the catch?" I asked tilting my head to the side. Joe shrugged his shoulders, " No catch." he gave me a smirk back, " I couldn't figure out how Joe made it, so I just decided to keep it in our inventory." he explained as he nudged his glasses off of his face.

I picked up the bottle as Joe almost stomped on my hand, but his normal eye flashed as he forced himself to the ground. He gave me a brief look, " I'm sorry." he mouthed as he passed out again.

I held the bottle in my hand. The red liquid sloshing around as I carefully made my way over to Grian.

Grian let out a quiet yawn, " Cleo?" he mumbled as he tilted his head. I helped him sit up, " What's that?" he motioned down to the bottle.

" Joe says it's a cure for your paralysis." I explained as Grian gave me a concerning look.

" Good Joe, or torture hungry Joe?" he asked as I looked down at the bottle, " Both...?" I tilted my head with an awkward look. Grian shook his head, " What's the catch?" he questioned as I sighed, " Evil Joe stated that there are no tricks." I explained as Grian shook his head again.

Grian looked down a the potion, " I want to be able to move again. " he muttered as he looked up at me with a determined look, " Why not give it a try?" he shrugged his shoulders as I uncorked the potion.

I held the potion up, and Grian took a drink out of it.

Grian let out a cough as his arm started to move again. He looked at it in happiness, " Oh god... This feels amazing." he gasped as he moved his arm.

Grian looked at me, " When will I be able to feel the rest of me again?" he asked as I shrugged, " I don't know but don't drink me." I told him as I stood up. I left Grian and laid down in my own bed.

--(The Author holds up another sign; it reads " A brief part of the following morning ")--

The room was almost quiet except for the sound of toddler, maybe only a year or two old, crying.

I looked towards Impulse's crib. He was sleeping sounding.

I stood up from the comfy bed and looked at the other beds. Everyone was sleeping soundly, but I noticed something was wrong.

Grian's bed was overturned, and the crying got louder the closer I got to it.
