Since my body does not want to function properly and makes me screw up in my art, I'll just be putting this here until I can actually draw the physical difference.
This is Carrie, a character I use with -Shadow_Reaper- in her roleplay, and I love her to death. To put it simply, Carrie was abused by her husband after she cheated on him, and only escaped by a character named Sage (the guy who loved her to death as well, and probably one of my favorite characters) saw her and just took her away like 'your husband is going to get the shit beat out of him later'.
So I just wanted to write down the differences between the 'old' Carrie, and the abused one.
Old Carrie
•confidant in her self worth
•social
•loves the outdoors
•stays in touch with family
•always trying new hobbies
•loves to sew
•no fear of sharp objects (ex. needles)
•hardly ever cries
•doesn't like to sit still
•not adapted to feeling pain
•does things with her own free will
New Carrie
•submissive
•blames herself on everything
•terrified of husband
•has breakdowns due to the abuse
•terrified of sharp objects
•rarely goes outside
•doesn't try any hobbies
•curls herself up
•separates from family
•adapted to feeling pain
•easily overwhelmed
•cries often
•does things only when ordered
Of course, Carrie will get better and gain self confidence and worth eventually. Still, she will still be scarred from her experiences, but it is possible that she will learn from them and stand up for herself in the future.
