Snapping his eyes open, Obito shot up. He heard a stick breaking, and even though it may be a rabbit or fawn, one can never be too careful. Glancing at Rin and Kakashi, who were dead asleep by the fire, he rose up slowly and stood up, his eyes blazing red.

"Whos there?" He loudly called out, but not loud enough to wake the other two. The dull flash of his kunai glinted in the dark, and he darted his eyes, frowning. "I said, who's there!"

Another crackle of leaves crunching came from his left, and Obito grabbed a shuriken, throwing it in the direction. His palms became sweaty and his heartbeat rose. Through the bushes, he saw a flash of red pop up and he widened his eyes, rushing over to the culprit. Sneaking through the branches and leaves, he lifted a large branch and slid on his knees.

"Kushina-san!" He whispered, and the women looked up, giving a grin, but soon a wince crawled over her face.

"Ah, Obito. I saw you three sleeping here, and I thought I come to the fire and rest up a bit. Good thing your senses are up, I see your doing well on training, -ttebane!" She murmured back. Obito shook his head.

"More importantly, where were you? Sensei has been so worried!"

"I'm sorry. I was on my way back from the Land of Stone, but I got ambushed on the way home. For some reason, Kurama's chakra didn't work out to heal me like it usually does. So it's been two days and my leg had been bleeding out, so I had to stop every hour or so,and spent a lot of time trying to heal it."

The boy looked down, and with the slight light of the fire, he saw the large, ripped open gash on Kushina's right calf. Blood was still pouring out, and the makeshift tousle she wrapped around it was sopping with redness.

"Kushina-san!" He groaned, and lifted her to his back. Too exhausted to fight, the red haired women let Obito walk her to camp. Obito rested her next to the sparking fire, and gently shook Rin awake.

"Mmmhnnng, Obito? Is it time to leave already?" She murmured, and sleepily fluttered her eyes open. Obito shook his head and gave a meek smile.

"Ah, no."

"Why did you wake me up then?"

"Look over there?"

Rin followed Obitos finger, which pointed to the left of her. Scrambling, she grabbed her med kit and rushed over to Kushina, a worried look on her face.

"Kushina-san! Oh no... thats why you were late..." She said, and a green glow emitted from her palms, slowly weaving the heavily damaged skin. Kushina chuckled and shrugged. She was leaning on a tree, and her Konoha Ninja uniform was ripped in many places. A whole sleeve was torn off, which was the tousle she used.

"Sorry. Some weird guys came and attacked me." She tiredly said. Rin clicked her tongue and continued to focus on her pace. Sitting on a log, the black haired boy watched. The fire crackled, and sparks flew into the air.

"Who attacked you?" Obito asked. Kushina looked up and squinted her eyes, as if to remember.

"Ah... it was a two young men. One had red hair, the other had blue hair. The red one was from Sunagakure, and the blue one was from Kirigakure. It baffled me at how they were together, though."

Rin and Obito exchanged a look. Kisame and Sasori.

"Whats the looks for?" Kushina asked, and raised an eyebrow. Obito turned away and shook his head, a quick smile plastering his face.

"N-Nothing, go ahead."

"Uh, okay. Anyways, they both had something similar on their arms. It was small, on their forearms was a circle with a lightning bolt in it. Before injuring me, they were saying something of bringing real peace into the world, and that the O.K.A.G will r-, are you guys alright?" Rin and Obito stiffened, not moving. Cold sweat dripped from Obito's back, and Rins throat went dry.

"Ahem..." The two shook out of their fear, and looked at Kushina the best they could without showing their true feelings.

"Kushina-san... we can't say what it is. You need to ask Minato-sensei. I think he will tell you." A voice said. The three looked up and found a sleepy Kakashi, rubbing his eyes and was walking towards them. Kushina frowned, and Rin looked up, a crease in her forehead.

"I'm done. They whole thing is healed, just elevate it. Now let's go to sleep." She said with authority. Kakashi groaned, and Obito nodded.

"I just woke up!" The white haired boy whined. Rin shook her head, and pointed to the sleeping bags.

"We're going back tomorrow, to get Kushina-san home. Then we'll resume the mission."

"Hn, fine. Come one Obito, Miss Bossy here says we gotta sleep."

Obito laughed, and walked back to his sleeping bag, and so did Kakashi. Within minutes, the boys were snoring into sleep. Rin gave a smile, and finished wrapping a bandage around Kushinas leg and looked up.

"You've really changed, Rin." She said with a smile. Rin rose an eyebrow and tilted her head.

"What do you mean?"

"You used to be so quiet, and listened to whatever the other two said without an opinion. Now, you are a strong leader, and each of you alternate the position. You radiate beauty when you do it... the confidence really grew in you, -ttebane!"

Rin shook her head, and sat next to Kushina, watching her two best friends. "Kushina-san.. its not me whos a leader. I'm not confident at all. Obito and Kakashi... the two just give me strength. I need to work on it when they aren't around. But one thing for sure..." She looked up, and met Kushina's violet eyes, her own brown eyes fierce.

"I will make sure that those two achieve their hopes and dreams. Because that is my hope and dream." Then she smiled, looking back the two boys, and watched the fire blaze.

Kushina felt her heart squeeze. She had never met such a selfless person. Rin really meant everything she said.... she was the most selfless person Kushina met.

"Rin... I'll help you. You really a kind child."

Rin turned to look at Kushina and smiled.

"Its all to help them."
