Aria's POV

I was in the Alvarez apartment with Lydia, Alex, and Elena. They were in the middle of skyping Victor, their dad, so I tried to leave but Alex wouldn't let me.

Lydia laughed at a story Victor was telling us when Penelope walked in, smiling when she saw everyone gathered on the couch

"Ay, qué bueno, you are home. We are Skyping...a handsome, available man in Afghanistan. It's Victor." Lydia said

Penelope sat down, untying her shoes and not speaking to her mother after her revelation.

"Your husband." Lydia repeated, hoping to get more of a reaction out of her daughter

"Is that your mami I hear?" Victor asked from his tiny square spot on the computer

"Yeah, she wants to say hi." Alex said, gesturing for Penelope to head over

Penelope came around the couch, "Hi, Victor! Everything good? Great. See you next week."

She sped into the kitchen asking Lydia for help with something, refusing to acknowledge the looks from her children.

"In a minute. Victor is showing us a picture of a funny camel. It is very tiny. It had no humps." Lydia said

I rolled my eyes jokingly at her, "That's a dog, Lydia."

She giggled nervously, "I knew that."

Victor asked Alex to okay something in his cello for him, considering he wouldn't be able to attend the recital tomorrow. So, I helped him set it up

"Ooh, what are you doing, papito?" Penelope asked from the kitchen

"Since Papi can't be here for the recital tomorrow, I'm gonna play my part of the quartet for him." Alex said

"Maybe Aria should get her violin, so you can play together." Penelope suggested

"Nah, this is about Alex and his dad, I'll get to play tomorrow." I disagreed, smiling at Alex

Alex smiled back then played a note on the cello. He paused for a couple of counts and then played the same note again.

"My God, he is a genius." Lydia cried, making me laugh

"It makes more sense when the other three people are playing. I wish you could be here." Alex said to the screen of the computer

"Oh, Yeah. Wouldn't it be cool if I could do that Star Trek thing where I could just transport there?" Victor asked

Suddenly, there was a knock at the door and Elena rushed to go answer it.

"Whoa, it worked. I was aiming for the living room. I just missed." Victor said, walking in the apartment with a large smile on his face
