The rest of the day

B block was uneventful. We read a little from The Great Gatsby; the book we were reading in class; and had a class discussion about it. I didn't really think too much about her, in fact I kind of forgot about A block.

Then came C block, also everyone's lunch block, also my free block. Everyday is the same, I go to sit wit my friend Grace for first lunch, then wait for my friend's Hannah and Sparta, and so on and so forth. Eventually Grace leaves to go to class, Hannah finishes up her lunch and we go to the cafe, nothing new.

Hannah picks out her drink, pays, and we're on our way. As we leave the cafe, Taylor walks in, Samantha in tow. I was in one of my moods; feeling like I wanted to cry, but no tears escaped my eyes, but seeing her made me happy again.

Hannah and I walk out the door as Samantha and Taylor walk in. I throw a quick glance at her which she doesn't return, but I'm OK with that. "I think she's cute" I say to Hannah as we walk back to the lunch table. She doesn't say anything, but I look over and see what I think is hurt in her eyes.

The thing about me and my best friend is that we've had off and on feelings for each other for a while now, and we both know it.

Eventually C block ends, then D block, then E block, and just like that the day is over, and I only saw her twice. Since it was Monday, I didn't have tech so I could just go home. I didn't really think too much about Samantha, thinking I'll see her tomorrow.
