Zach set the table as we waited for Apryl to come home with KFC. We had ordered food because Apryl just didn’t feel like cooking tonight, which is completely fine because I love KFC.
“You know, you’re amazing.” Zach said as he sat plates on the table.
I smiled at the fact that he thought so.
“Thank you.” I laughed.
“And beautiful “ he reminded me and I chuckled.
I made my way into the bathroom to wash my hands before Apryl showed up with food.
I heard the door unlock and something hit the floor.
& that’s when Zach rushed over to Apryl and offered her a hand.
I came out of the bathroom and sat at the table.
"You're so precious." Zach said as he entered the room.
I was beginning to get suspicious as to why he kept giving me compliments.
"Not gonna lie, I love the compliments but why?" I asked as I worked my way toward him.
Zach swallowed and took a deep breath.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"Nothing. I just love you." He replied.
Dinner was silent. Zach was silent. April was silent, and I wasn't going to be the one to break it.
I ate my chicken quietly, and decided I was done for the day..
