The New Girl

Part 10

Olivia POV:
All of the girls and I went on stage and got ready for awards. I was sitting next to Maddie and Kendall. The first category that they announced were the solos. Only 1st and 2nd place we left and I was squeezing Maddie and Kendall's hands really tight. The announcer than said

An: first runner up is #7 with Shine

Maddie than went up and accepted the award. She was smiling on the outside but I think on the inside she was upset she didn't get first. I was so nervous because my name still hadn't been called. What if I didn't place! The announcer than started talking again and he said

An: 1st place goes to...

I was squeezing Kendall's hand so hard

An: #18 Titanium

I was so excited and I went up and got the award. I heard my mom and Abby cheering from the audience when the announcer said

An: and what studio are you from?
O: Abby Lee Dance Company La
An: and who choreographed this dance?
O: Miss Abby Lee Miller
An: Excellent, ladies take a bow

We all bowed and than went back and sat down to wait for the next category. I next category was duets and I really hoped we won. Maddie and I were squeezing each other really tight.

An: 1st runner up goes to #56 dancing queens

Two girls went up and got their awards and it was time to announce first place.

An: and first place goes to #16 together as one

I was, again, so excited and Maddie and I went and accepted the award.

An: what studio are you girls from?
M &O: ALDC LA
An: good job girls. Take a bow

Maddie and I both went and sat down and it was time for the small group category. I was so happy because I had already won with my solo and duet but I really wanted the group to win also.

They were down to 1st runner up and we still hadn't been called.

An: 1st runner up goes to #35 with royals

One girl from that group went up and accepted the award.

Now it was time for the moment I was nervous for all week

An: 1st place goes to...
An: #35 with Stomp the Yard!

We all started screaming and Kendall went up and accepted the award for us. We all than went off stage and went back to the dressing room.

When we ran into the room we were all screaming.

Ab: good job girls!

I ran and gave my mom a big hug

L: congrats liv!
O: thanks mom

And than I ran and gave Abby a big hug also

Ab: excellent job Olivia
O: thank you!

I was beaming with excitement but Maddie didn't look too happy. Even though we won the group and duet, I beat her solo. Melissa looked upset too and kept asking Maddie if she was alright.

Ab: Maddie don't be a soar loser.
Me: what do you mean Abby?
Ab: Maddie is upset that she lost to Olivia.
Me: no she's not
M: I'm not upset
Ab: whatever I still think you are

We all started walking out of the competition and told Maddie

O: I'm sorry Maddie
M: liv it's okay it's not your fault. I'm just used to winning but your just really good.

We than gave each other a big hug and than went home.
